Id be happy to see the team built around sandro and livermore (who i think has a very good range of passing), with parker and huddlestone in reserve.

I've been saying you should sell him for over a year now. Can't see why you'd want to keep a player that clearly doesn't want to play for you anymore.

United did it with Ronaldo, Arsenal did it with Henry Chelsea did it with G*llas and Robben, won't be the first time or last

Luka is world class and we WILL miss him. I don't care what stats say but that boy is quality, he never gives the ball away and is always starting our moves and creating killer passes. If there was a stat for assist of an assist he would be right up there. He is our Xavi.

That said it looks like the little fella is going and my b et is he will be a UTD player by next season.

I think our goal should be to get us much cash and look at getting another striker. We have options of tinkering with our system and maybe play VDV in that role and invest in another striker?

Anyway will be a sad day when Luka leaves

Agree with Ghost, I can see him playing for Utd but not exactly sure where he would fit in the Chelsea team - would he be Fat Frank's replacement??

Levy has already said none of our big players are going but if hes just going to sulk all summer then id rather us sell him and get in a suitable replacement then keep him and him doing a tevez for the whole season

Sounds like a plan to me

Someone posted an article the other day saying that he is the most creative CM in the league with some of the best passing stats as well. Massive loss but if we dont get CL then I will understand why he may want to leave

We need an anchor, Mikel is decent but isn't as versatile. Modric would complete the jigsaw which may explain why we offered so much for him, our midfield has really suffered to keep hold of the ball at times, unusual because apart from against Arsenal we dominate possession against any other team

However, for me the complete Modric is David Silva.

They're VERY similar players, but Silva can score and assist a fair bit throughout the season... Modric cannot

Modric is a more adapt version of Scholes. Silva is just an out and attacking midfielder.

silva's got to be worth about 3 modrics i'd have thought.
