once we put our efforts into winning things we'll win them

You should have taken a break from supporting them while they were rebuilding, now they are going to focus on winning its time to get on board the trophy train wooooo woooooooo all aboard.

I've still enjoyed the last few years, we've played some great football. I would have hated to have been a LFC season ticket holder this season, how many home games did you win?

posted on 18/5/12

we haven't been winning things because we've been working towards that

do you not see the futility in your statement?

You Gooners really believe this don't you .

The stadium has been used as an excuse and every g0oner has fallen for it.

The debt on the stadiumm has been completely ring fenced. Its paid for out of gate receipts and sponsorship. The CL money, the money you make on transfers doesn't go to paying the stadium.

So where's all that money gone? 16 consecutive years of being in the CL, selling players like Fabregas and Nasri and massive profits. Where is the money? Your club don't want to spend it. That's the truth. Your owners are perfectly happy for you to be a club that gets inthe CL every year but doesn't actually challenge anything. And the worst thing is that your fans put up with it.

Not a case of believing it it's true. We're now the 2nd richest club in England, and 4th in the world. We weren't anywhere near that several years ago, we're even richer than you.

As for making up the numbers, Liverpool haven't won the league for over two decades, and you've spent money like it grows on trees.

It may improve even more if RVP leaves. The rebuidling masterplan is starting to come together.

I wouldn't be too smug about your wealth untill such time as there are signs that you're prepared to spend some of it

There are already signs.

bit ironic coming from someone whos club needed a takeover and a bailout, then spent 100m to finish in 8th
========================================
Liverpool net spend, was 28 million.
Look, I think the bigger question is, why is a fan of a club, who are approaching a decade without winning a single thing, spending time on the subject of Liverpool Football Club.
You have a lot more to concern yourself with, than the trials and tribulations at our club, so why not take your unique brand of nonsense talk, over to the arsenal board, and discuss the ramifications, and contradictions, of regarding yourself as a big club, when you could be about go 10 years, playing football, without any success whatsoever.

-------------------------

I didn't say you weren't. But where's the money going.
Take last sumemr for example = you sold Fab and Nasri for £50m. You bought second rate players in their place. Admittedly you've done ok since then. Anyway. you made £50m and used that for buying players. So where the CL money gone. Yomust have made a good £30m last season in the CL, if you include TV deals et. Its not being invested becuase your owners don't want to invest it.

What numbers have I made up?

Lets not pretend that when Arsenal were winning leagues they weren't spending money. You spent like everybody else when you won stuff.

By the time arsenal next win anything, they will be digging the foundations for arsenal next stadium.

None of the money has been taken out of the club, a lot has gone on our youth system and a lot has been sitting in the bank

You may ask why it's sitting in the bank.. even you can get around the fact that it's pointless to spend it when clubs like City are inflating prices. If you don't believe that check out how much you spent on the dross you bought last season.

It's clear, we're waiting till the financial fair play rules come into effect at which point we'll get value from our warchest

The only signs I've seen are a failure to buy adequate replacements when you've lost your best players. Those signs won't translate to success on the pitch and I don't think you'll be overtaking City in the wealth table anytime soon

Jesus Don, haven't you suffered enough of a beating? Do you enjoy it or something? Very twisted if you ask me.

Look Arsenal no trophies in 8 years.

Liverpool trophies.

That's it. You can laugh at Birmingham or something but not Liverpool...oh wait, even they won a cup...oh wait again and it was you they beat in the final.

So clearly it has nothing to do with the ability to succeed on the pitch.

Clearly not, you've spent a boat load of money and haven't succeeded at all

if Champions League is all they want get Rafa, he has no interest in the Carling Cup etc and more than likely guarantees top 4. but no theyll get some young thick yes man with no experience. Rafa WILL get us into Champions league

---------------------------

What are you talking about??So what will you do, never spend again? Man City, Chelsea, barcelona and Real Madrid aren;t goign to go away. They will continue to spend. Are you just going to sit there waiting for the prices to come down?

The turth is that your owners are happy to see you where you are. Top 4 but not actually challenging, and you idiots lap it up.

We spent some money and arguably wasted some, but our fans got to visit Wmebley and see us lift a cup. For fans that is priceless. You obviously all prefer accountancy to football.

Your season ticket holders got to see you win 6 league games this season.

Clearly you don't go to games if you think a carling cup makes up for that dross.

Like I say we'll spend wisely like we always do

Agree.

But our onners were willing to spend that money to try to succeed on the pitch. Whereas you and your owners would rather keep the money in the bank to retain your place in the wealth table. I concede that that is a logical stance for the owners but I fail to see why you get so excited about being second in the weath table.

Your owners were willing to chuck that money down the toilet and sack the manager when they realised their mistakes

Where is further money going to come from, trees? You're looking at Martinez as a manager, thats how dire your situation is.

We'll be competitive next season, you were closer to relegation than the top 4 this season, who knows where you're going next.

And you think I should be unhappy
