Yeah, I understand. But then how is that fair on the other teams? If you look at the lowest-placed qualifying team (barring us), then I'm sure it would be you in 4th as we have one of the highest number of teams qualifying.

Who would be booted out? And how would they feel, just because they play in a lower-ranked team, being kicked out to allow someone else in?

football stinks, regardless of wether it''s over rated or not we should all be gutted mate. This in my opinion has ruined our chances of a few top targets that we were going for and this is all because of CL qualification. If we didn't deserve it then i would hold my hands up but we did, we got 4th and should be in the champions league right now.

Think Kapitan has summed it up perfectly. Yes, not particularly fair you may say but the rules were there all season. If you had kept your 13 point lead then you wouldnt be in this situation.

Srus finished 4th, which every previous season since the top four rule came in would give you CL football. So to be shafted like this is not particularly nice.

I am sure if it had happened to any of the other premiership heaveyweights, the appeal would not be going in as I am tying, and lo and behold UEFA would be changing the rules again.

football stinks. I've said all week on here I think the top 4 should qualify regardless. If a team hasnt performed well enough in their own league to defend the CL next season then that's their problem.

I don't believe anything would change had it been any of the heavyweights, as UEFA have said since Chelsea remained in that if they won the 4th place team wouldn't qualify.

Cheer up mate, it`s not that bad, why would everybody be laughing at us, Spurs have a very fine side and rightfully finished in the top four. If a combination of events that happen once every 20 or 30 years conspire to keep us from claiming our rightful place in the CL, then what can you do about it.

Keep the faith. The players next season will be even more determined to right a wrong.
