LOL 3must....
I cant beleive he's in the England squad and how he has managed rto get his trial after the Euros...
Compared to the who hars over Suarez!!

Personally, no, its not ok for me. But that is the beauty of democracy; you're free to demonstrate what you believe in, I will sleep soundly knowing that the EDL are simply too stupid to put together a manifest. And even in the unlikliest event that they managed AND got the vote; locked in parliament all day would probably see them kill each other anyway
Why would the BBC, Sol Campbell, Theo's family, Ox's family and others want to paint a grim picture of the Ukraine/Poland if it wasn't a realistic portrayal? What is the agenda you insinuate they all have?

come on this is ridiculous, sol campbell watches five minutes of footage and his opinion is splattered everywhere portraying the whole country as racists
I watched an amazing doc on the diversty of Luton!
You have the EDL on one side and muslim extremes on the other side!
The bottom line is that these types of people just want to fight and will use anything as an excuse... Whether its race, religion, turf, football teams blah blah blah...
But thats another story!

I'd prefer he had a more informed view before broadcasting such a major opinion
My Dad does a lot of work in Krakow and says it's a very nice city with frinendly people. He works with black and asian guys over there who've never had a problem.
Compare that to when I went in a pub in Guildford (called the Apple Tree for those who know it) with my 2 black mates and a Pakistani friend of mine. Those three were stared at and glared at while the pub went quiet bar a few mutterings. Nobody looked at me once (I'm white).
So don't tell me Britain is perfect because it's a million miles from perfect and any sensationalist show like a panorama broadcast could show us in the same light.
It's just yet more sensasionalist media brainwashing the public - I bet the euros will pass by without any major incidents and panorama will yet again look ridiculous.

The reason is this:
1) Sol has been abused racially before whilst on international duty; he can easilly connect with the matter
2) Documentaries and journalism like sensationalism. It sells.
3) Sol used the most emotive language; John Barnes said he will be "wary", Theo's family are worried they will be "abused", as are Ox's. Sols comments are, well frankly, apocolyptic "come back in a coffin".
This is why he is splattered everywhere. He isn't the broadcaster, he was asked to give his opinion and obliged.
As for painting the picture of an entire nation of racisists; he isn't, nor was he intending to.
The Foreign Office advise fans of African-Caribbean or Asian descent to take "extra care".
UEFA say its a "good opportunity to address social issues".
Yanukovych is practically one stop short of a dictator. The mindset of grisley Soviet leader; excersising authoritarian tendancies, prosecuting opposition figures at will and strangling independant media. Angela Merkel and other EU bodies are shunning the Ukraine due to the treatment of the opposition leader Yula Timoshenko (sp?). There are serious issues that need addressing and it is only right that this is brought up.
As for the EDL. Yes they are s c u m; all extremists are. However the opinion "well we have the EDL and its safe to walk the streets" doesn't really wash. Tourists should be going to a country with their eyes open and aware of just what precautions are needed. A responsible government should convert its knowledge to wisdom. Hopefully it is brought up in Prime Ministers questions...

Skum mate!! I haven’t dealt with an awful lot in recent years, as I live in multi cultural areas...
Except when I was with the Ex and we went camping in Dorset and it was a proper isolated village, I got a few looks and I was almost ready to Hulk up lol... But I then thought who's problem is it?? Should it be more problem because some degenerate has intelligence issues??
I'll tell you one thing - I'm going to the American-Mexican border in summer and I think that might be a hell of a lot more dangerous.

Just seen it. Absoluty a disgrace. I'm glad I'm not going to be there and fully understand why Ox, Theo, Etc families are not going. I hope everyone is safe when you go there

buzz killington - unless you were there, and you were close enough to hear what Terry said, and the context of how it was said, then you're in no place to judge. I've seen the same footage as you, and while we can suggest what probably happened, the footage alone is circumstantial and it's not the same as proving what happened x

On their website mate, about two weeks ago:
"Although the vast majority of visitors experience no difficulties, foreign nationals have been the victims of violent crime in Kyiv and other major cities. In some cases attacks have been racially motivated. Travellers of Asian or Afro-Caribbean descent and individuals belonging to religious minorities should take extra care."
This is also heavily referenced in The Guardian and The Independant over the last 10 days or so; also on the BBC & ITV sites as they play catch up. The statement is one of the contributing factors that lead to Theo/Oxs family chosing not to attend.

I don't see how its sad to support you're country. The majority (in Englands case, vast majority) of nationals are perfectly sane and probably share an almost identical set of morals and high level ideologies. The government in power has, for the last two generations at least, always stood against this sort of behaviour. If you let such a tiny minority destory what you are proud of, you will eventually be left with nothing. Afterall, eutopia doesn't (and probably won't ever) exist; at least not to my knowledge.
