I believe he's got what it takes but he needs the coach to get him to focus to give him that self belief.
-----------------------
I used to think this but he's been through coach after coach and it's made little difference.
The fact is he just doesn't have the killer instinct. I'm not so sure that he can learn that.
I think he's got it but I also believe his missed opportunities are giving him self doubts. He needs to win one to prove he can do it.
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't win one but do think that he can if that makes sense.
Can't see it myself. I'd love it to happen but I just can't see it.
It's getting to the point where I can hardly watch him play it's just too frustrating and frankly predictable. It's sad but I had a feeling he'd loose pretty easily today. Ferrer is Mr consistency, he doesn't make too many mistakes, keeps a consistent level and fights to the end. Murray struggles against that type of player as his predictable drops in form throughout matches allow the consistent player to shine through even though Murray is probably a far better shot maker when he wants to be.
Every time he gets in a 15+ shot rally you just know he doesn't have the nerve to finish it off. His opponents know this and thrive off it.
As much as I hate to say it I can't see this pattern changing.
As much as I want to him to win a GS I don't know how many more of his matches I can watch, it really is painful.
Completely understand, but now Lendl is seeing it up close we could see some changes.
In this era you need to win your first slam age 21 or earlier which is why I think his time might have gone he needs to give Lendl best chance to improve his game for him.
