Daily Record readers deserve to be served with this kind of stuff

The usual bollox from DR and we're supposed to be building a team not dismantling it.

I didn't realise I was upset.

My wee rip it them is more mocking. I read most of the football news in the red tops the same way I read the daily mash or the sunday sport.

Tong in cheek.

No need for you to get all uppity about whether or not it's about me getting upset at a negative story.

I'm just having a laugh at their expense.

Seeing as the Record are brokering the deal, I'd appreciate if they could secure that £7 mill for him. A tidy wee £6.1 mill profit on a 20 year would do just nicely.

Zachsda, tenuous at best, but worthy of a good laugh.

The alarming thing about the record is the amount of people who still take their sports writing serious.

They're in need of a good overhaul to bring some respectability back....Starting with Traynor.

Traynor is far to good for the Record
He has to dumb it down and it doesnt work for me
When he was with the Herald he was much better

DR used to be good, then started to compete with the Sun. Going back a bit, but the likes of John Fairgreave(?)and Alex Cameron were good.

Duke, spot on re Traynor.

Say's all you need to know about Traynor that he allows himself to stoop so low.

No self respect.

The Duke, what about him completely ignoring the Murray era?

By getting hand outs by Murray he ultimately hurt your club.

I doubt it says all you need to know, but then that depends how much you want to know I suppose.

He does his job, panders to the readership and gets a good wage which he no doubt spends giving his family a decent standard of living.

If selling out your professional pride is yer bag then I concur.

Couldn't see McIlvanney being so lily-livered though.

Im not sure what you mean by hand outs

He is a fitba writer thats his job, and the very fact that folk talk about him and his paper says he is doing it reasonably well

his first responsibility it to his family if looking after them is a sell out then I guess many of us are guilty of the same crime

Traynor and some other jurno's used to get stories handed out to them in exchange for good press.

It's called lobbying for stories. A well known press tactic.

Thats alright then, personally I never do anything that corrupts my professional morals.
I have standards that will never be compromised for the sake of a few quid.

That's just me though, Jim and you boys clearly don't share my beliefs.
