Exactly we have seen 2 young England strikers score at the big stage, young England winger come on and change the game and still everyone is bickering.
I asked the admins to multiboard but I don't think I'm allowed
Just wanna give my impressions after reading some of the comments.
People saying Johnson was poor need their heads checked. Yes, could've done slightly better for the OG but there were so many things wrong with our defending there, it doesn't really matter.
Walcott was probably an 8/10. Had 2 opportunities to really run at the Swedish back 4, did it successfully 1st time and gave an assist to a brilliantly improvised finished by Welbeck. Second time he passed it sideways and slowed the attack down, even though I was screaming for him to run on and smash it past the keeper The only thing he did out of the ordinary was that shot, which he took thank god.
Gerrard was average. Not poor as some were suggesting. Fantastic assist, could've left the volley for Chambo at the end.
The midfield in general was below par today. Invited far too many attacks onto our back 4, and when you consider this is only Sweden...
Carroll was ok first half, did everything expected. below average in the 2nd.
Young was pretty bad, but didn't have much to work with.
Milner, some decent crosses.
Parker, average. Again, it was the midfield in general, not a specific player letting Sweden attack.
Terry was just a beast. I'll never admit this when he plays for Chelsea, but he really is just awesome at times. A shame he is a
Not asking you to. Just sayin there's people getting overly defensive about the players that play for their club, and going far enough to insult fellow England fans.

RVP. Pretty much agree with you. In fairness if you look through the match thread, most of the abuse comes from the same old Arsenal fans who usually do it. I'm more than happy to accept that Theo was the game changer, and I wouldn't care if he was MOM every game he plays for England. I don't get the bitterness some Gunners show to Liverpool players???
Batmanu, I only support them because my Grandad did, he died before he could see them play in the World Cup Final .
Actually, thinking about it, seeing them lose would've probably killed him anyway

Gna have to agree with you there. I do think the mocking of Liverpool England players does tend to be over the top.
But its the same. Club rivalries filter through.
What I think is the ones who come onto the thread and start making over the top bitter comments about other clubs players are the ones who dont actually support England. You can seperate the ones who do support England pretty easily.
