you're some sort of laughing stock

What the sweaty hell are you rambling on about? Since when are we a laughing stock? Arsenal are one of the top sides in Europe and have been for years.

Which rock was it you've been living under all this time?

the OP is actually right though, Arsenal, moreso than any of the other top clubs do find it difficult to keep their best players.

united had it with ronaldo, but thats the only top player i can remember leaving utd.
chelsea keep theirs, and apart from tevez, city seem the same.

arsenal on the other hand lost Fabregas, clichy, Nasri, Henry and now RVP possibly.

is their any one reason behind this??

serious question, not wumming.

is it a lack of ambition by the board perhaps??

If we're a laughing stock, I dread to think what the rest of the 90 teams below us are thought of.

Its about Money.

Chealsea is Abramovich plaything. Billion dollar man, pumping in his own money.

City is Shaikh Monsoors plaything. Billion dollar man, pumping in his own money.

United, well, finacially they are struggling, as of late, but they are one of the most money generating clubs in the world let alone Europe. They havent splashed out recently, and heard they had trouble financing Sneider at 35m, which a few years would have been done with a thumb click.

Arsenal, unless Usmanov does a wild takover, will never, NEVER match these clubs. We still have shareholders, and some who will nevel let their shares go. Bloody learn some simple economics, learn what a PLC is, and stop moaning, that we are struggling.

City will suffer, but its only Monsoor pocket, got Wayne Bridge on the bench on 80k a week, who doesnt want to leave cause it will mean a pay cut, why would he? 80k a week for christ sake. Likewise with Dzeko and Tevez now. They wont leave. Chances are they won get sort of cash they are on anywhwre else.

how many of those requested to leave....ooh, thats right none
Fergie decided he didnt want them at united, not the other way around.
Wenger is powerless to stop all your best players leaving.

you ask a serious question and you always get some daft trying to get all clever and smart, when in fact they end up making themselves look like a tewat!

Says who? You? I didn't realise you had intimate knowledge of Arsenals inner workings.

Gonz is correct. In the last 10 years we have seen Chelsea prepared to lose hundreds of millions of pounds for success and Man City prepared to have a wage bill bigger than their revenue.

I am not sure if Fergie minded some if not all of those players going Arsh.

Duncan Edwards: didn't Tevez want to leave though? I thought united did offer a new deal unless I'm mistaken? The others that someone mentioned were shown the door by Fergie I will admit but I had always thought Tevez chose to leave because he was offered a better deal with city? Apologies of I'm wrong though

How do you know Wenger didn't want them to leave? Wenger lets go of players when they have past their prime. Henry, Vieira, Pires, etc. The only time we let players go we wanted to keep hold of were Cesc and Nasri last Summer. Fergie never wanted rid of Beckham or Tevez either and he is struggling to keep Paul Pogba as it is

SoG Tevez was offered a contract that would have made him one of United's highest earners. But he moved across town for bigger and better things instead.

posted on 27/6/12

Fergie clearly did want rid of Beckham and I am in serious doubt about how much he wanted to keep Tevez. If any new deal was offered, it was at a very late juncture and more a token gesturew than anything when it became City were interested.

If we keep on selling our best players it will come back to hurt us.

Other smaller teams like Newcastle & City (remember when City were a Championship side) have caught up with us & may leave us for dead soon.
