Brown-nosing at it's finest

OK. I am back online with a nice clean desktop! Here goes my defence!

1. A few hours ago a shiny new user pops onto our site and proclaims on the Arsenal and Manchester United boards to have nearly completed an anonymous proxy application that will allow you to surf JA606 from your work.....Hmm.
2. I assume this is a retuning banned user hell bent on causing trouble. So check the IP address it's Wanadoo France residential broadband and there is no record of it in our system. Now i'm suspicious
3. Having taken the time to ban over 5000+ proxies from our site, I ban the articles but download the file for an investigation.
4. As the poster states, I upload to virus total and sure enough it comes back clean! I then scan it with Avast AV. Clean too! Malware Bytes Scan also clean.
5. So it probably is indeed a proxy app? I closed all JA606 browser windows and email etc etc and decide to run the program. Thinking I will log the proxy addresses and put a stop to it! But nothing happens!
6. I decide to open the .exe in a HEX editor and was impressed to see that it was indeed a virus which dynamically built itself using the .NET runtime.
7. So not happy using was now a tarnished Windows install, I have after several hours restored my PC to factory condition!
8. Thankfully Admin2 approached the incident with the utmost tact to save me any embarrassment on here.
