they would have to buy out a club
Or apply eight (nine?) divisions down...
Why 8 or 9 divisions?? Long term would it not be better??
Sadly,Rangers would not compete in the English leagues now and Div 3,then rebuilding is more attainable.
Don't think the English leagues want Rangers now either and legally,we may have problems gaining entry.
Bluebell Rangers are a massive club and would bring money to the lower leagues.................
Rangers are massive mate, but the players are leaving and we have no dosh at present,so we are a sleeping giant right now.
We will be back soon however.
If we could get into England at any level with a view to promotion up the structure then it would be worth doing.
The problem is that it is unlikely that Uefa will sanction the move.
I guess they can apply but it would be a total waste of time. It's simply not going to happen.
While I agree with you the SPL will have problems without Rangers, I think the initial attendances for next season will overall be good thanks to the novelty of having no Rangers, but as time passes, reality will kick in, no doubt around about the time fans get tired of their team being rolled over by Celtic and being nothing more than cannon fodder as the Parkhead club focus all their attention on making some headway in Europe and buying the players to achieve this.
.
With Rangers in the third division and very few of their fans travelling to away games we'll soon see if the actions of the SPL and SFA are anywhere near bearing fruit.
I have already heard of one set of 'Gers fans setting up a club whose members plan to travel to watch teams in England, Spain and Italy next season. And before the Tims get their vitriolic fingers a-typing again about "not walking away", these same fans will still be going to the home games at Ibrox.
Rangers starting at the the bottom may well be just the innovation Scottish football needs.
God knows it needs all the help it can get these days.
Happy 4th, PP. How goes the battle in the 51st State ?
In Italy a certain club, Juve I think, had to go down a few divisions and they came storming right back up with interest!
Juve went down one division - and kept the some of their best players. They also had money to build again when the came back up.
The SPL is finished, now is the time for Rangers to break away!!!
Cant believe the Gers are just going to disappear without trace !
Rangers will not vanish Reiver, rather we will rebuild, from Div 3 or 1 and get back into the SPL asap.
The 10 SPL clubs voted Rangers out of the SPL on 4/7/12,with Killie abstaining,so Rangers do not have a choice to break away.
Who is this Rangers everyone keeps talking about?
its alright Godfather - last years newspapers might make it up to your neck of the woods by Christmas
Im being genuine here, who the hell are Rangers?
'What is this "Feenyin Army" you're talking about?
Anything to do with football by any chance?
Who is this 'Rangers' that you say you support? do u mean Newco? cause I dont know any Rangers.
Well 'ElGodo'.....
...you must be dumber than you sound, 'cause they've only been in the news <and on the tip of every 'feenyin's tonque'> for the past two years and more.
Methinks you'll be hearing a lot more of them in the months to come.....and it won't ALL be to your liking.
Everything about newco is to celtic fans liking.
You buns will be hearing more bad news in the coming days.
How can u support rangers when they don't exist? Unless u mean newco fc???
