Having watched Bolton for the past forty-odd years, I'm not convinced what I have wasted my hard earned money on is sport!

Cheese rolling is a sport in Derbyshire.

i understand the point that you are making, but i do not see how it makes my argument flawed..

i said that there clearly has to be a line... if i play some online playstation against someone from america then it doesnt make it a sport just because i am competing against someone
-----------------------------------------------

Listen, I agree with some of the events that you have classified as not being a 'sport', but your definition of sport is far too subjective for me to credit it. If you were to have a definition that wasn't so nonsensical, I might be able to find some middle ground.

As it goes my cousin is a horsey person and there's no way I could do what she could - she had to be very fit not to mention skilful to ride a horse over jumps.

Do I understand the judging? No. but that doesn't make me respect it any less.

I don't think the cheese has any say in whether it gets rolled or not.

because in motor racing whoever gets to the end first wins.

in horse racing whoever gets to the end first wins..

therefore they are both sports.

horsey gallop or whatever the event is called is done by a group of judges ffs

All this is like saying "hip hop isn't music" because you can't understand the words..

pop music isnt music

hiphop is music, and i understand the words

and to be fair.. loads of people contsantly say a certain type of thing isnt music, or isnt real music... etc etc

i personally wouldnt consider a 5 year old blowing on a whistle as music.. but some people might... i wonder if it meets the requirements for music... have you had a look in your dictionary for the definition of music?

Throwing black puddings with the aim of knocking a Yorkshire pudding off a pole.
The world championship of this takes place in Ramsbottom ( really), in Lancashire each year.

i think i am going to write a letter to the international olympic committee telling them that several events should not be a part of the olympics.
