So now it's South Africa who visit our shores, and once again ( just like India and Australia) England are going to get hammered

We have heard it all before.

3:0 It's our time

mychest, any team that beats england at home deserve to be number 1, and i have a sneaky feeling that the saffers will win this test series - just. Bowling is slightly in englands favour, but batting in saffers end. It'll be close anyway, and a pity that its only 3 matches, of which i will miss first two test matches

1.Weather- They say it's getting better.

2.Toss- A South African will win it

3.Ball wobbling about for De Villiers behind the
stumps (is he a Dhoni?) No, AB > MS

4.Bopara`s brain- His second favourive organ.

5.Can Broad bowl at over 80 mph? Finn should play instead of Broad. He's bowling terrible, atm.

6.Is Smith going to get a 50 in the series? He'll become Anderson's bunny.

7.I have a meeting tomorrow at 10:45- Awww, what a shame I've got nothing to do for like the next 6 weeks

10.Will omitting KP from the t20 squad over shaddow
tomorrows play? Of course it will, everything revolves around Kevin Pietersen, doesn't it. The Attetion seeking waste.

i really dont get why people think SA have the better batting lineup

anderson is going to be all over smith
peterson is no great shakes
amla is top notch
kallis has a poor record in england
de villiers is top notch but will keeping affect him
rudolph doesn't have a great record at this level but is familar with english conditions
duminy has a poor test record and graeme swann "owns" him

only question marks in the england top 7 are strauss and bopara but both have been in form

england also have a much stronger tail than SA

series is going to come down to which pair of openers do best, not necessarily by scoring big themselves but at least seeing off the new ball and not exposing the middle order to the respective attacks with a still new ball in hand

You win the toss and the game is in your favour as its cold and overcast today but the following 3 days sun is predicted.

Kallis' record with the bat in England is an odd one. Hard to fathom really. Can't call it a blip because he's toured 3 times for a solitary ton and by his standards his average here is dismal (around 29)

He's technically one of the best players of his generation. Plays the ball late, generally has no holes in his game and has performed in similar conditions at home and in NZ

So it's an odd one, fascinating to see how he plays in this series. I think he'll come good and he will have to if SA are to prevail...

why is steyn not opening the bowling ?

posted on 19/7/12

Steyn isnt opening the bowling because they wanna actually make the match competitive

Wins the toss, decides to bat, and then apparently changed his mind

we are keen to unleash out middle order on them. it's tactical.
