Moeen Ali has taken 12 wickets against Lancs, who have been destroyed. Bowled out for 63 in their 2nd innings, a champions performance!

cant believe the comments suggesting broad should be the one to drop out to get finn a game

since the start of the india series last summer broad has by far the best average and best strikerate of all the england bowlers , way better than even anderson

It wasn't me, Dernbach suggested the idea!

SA batsman are cruising..... looking for a big score

Agree Viru, england on the defensive here. They don't need to be. Long way to go yet.

After the end of series Amla will become a strong contender to be reckoned as the world's best.

Regarding this series, this is first test of current English bowlers against a strong batting lineup on difficult batting conditions and in my opinion they will emerge as second best.English bowlers are overrated. They only dominated against flat track bullies of India and Aussies batsmen who are on downward curve.

seems like the pitch has turned very flat after the innings break?????i guess people shud finally realise that this was a flat track which has nothing for the bowlers. SA in 40 overs picked 7 wickets. england in 32 - 1 wicket

i have always said SA have a better bowling. currently broad has lost the pace and will start struggling soon. anderson world class( maybe even as gd as steyn on his day), bresnan( as gd as philander) swann(WC) but wont be dat handy on a day 2/3 pitch. whereas SA have kallis, morkel, who can also contribute with a couple of wickets.

surely SA's day. now hope they dont choke

dere comes bopara......

They need to get rid of choking disease in order to emerge as world's best.

Amla nearly choked there.... Half a chance for Strauss

That the only problem with Amla.Even, when he is well set he has the tendency to throw his bat outside off on occassions.

He can abstain on the virtue of been on travel.

Same with Imran Tahir... It's up to them really. Yousuf did at times I believe fast when coming over to England.

2-1 with England only winning the dead rubber.

No fasting is required for the traveller, unless they stay in one place for more than 14 days.... which they wont. Doubt very much he or Tahir will be fasting.

posted on 20/7/12

That has already been answered.
Anyway would be difficult to fast in U.K with long daylight hours.

posted on 20/7/12

Are you fasting today, Pakistan till I die? Our fast is going to open in like less than an hour.

posted on 20/7/12

Amla is a strict muslim, I recall him refusing to wear a certain logo because it was something to do with gambling... I reckon he'd be fasting. Don't know about Tahir.
