Yes, the only time all 4 innings have happened in the same day in test cricket. Still, we bowled SA out for 96 that day, they're on what now 511-2?
"Which match are you watching? The one where all batsmen are scoring centuries? Your lack of understanding of our great game is always astonishing Dunc "
You mean that match where ONE Englishman scored a century and all BUT one saffer have scored centuries?
My lack of understanding? This comes from the cricketing expertise that predicted a 3-0 whitewash by England and that the "best bowling line up in the world" would smash the poor SA batting line up. Or perhaps you remember your prediction of an English victory in the recent Pakistan series?
You happy with the state of australian cricket then Dunc?
You bowled out the Saffers for 96? Thanks mate, now I am convinced we will continue to be the best team in the world at all formats when this series is over
India
Australia
Recent Pakistan series?
Wanna talk about all others since then?
You don't see that this test match is going exactlfy as England had hoped? Both teams might as well shake hands and move on to the second one
Australia "It's a long slow lazy delivery but it's the best I can do" - Australia haha
You might still win this test, I can predict that cap'n fantastic Strauss will be sending lots of replacement gloves out tomorrow.
Take heart though boys, Australia absolutely smashed England in the opener in the 2009 Ashes and England used every cheap trick to stay in that one. They then went on the win the series. Chin up lads.
You drew in SL? Australia won there. I'm not happy with the state of Aussie cricket at all, I am just amused about how happy English fans are now that their mediocre team has won a couple of series against some of the weakest teams in the modern era. You're not even the best, SA are clearly showing their superiority right now.
When your poor group of cricketers return to their normal standard, assuming some new Saffers aren't recruited will you still be on this site?
Got to head to work now, always good to talk to Mr one eyed? :P

Well I have two eyes, and a brain- The brain tells me England have won the last two Ashes series, home & away.
And it will soon be 3 in a row. Australia are embarassing. Anyway back to the thread and The Saffers lead by 160. When will they declare and how on earth are they going to win this test match. Surely England will use up time, score easily over 350 and time will be up?
Not the best pitch for a winning result but a fascinating opening match nonetheless.
i dont think i ever remember a side reaching 600-2 against england. maybe australia ?
They were 1-1 JPB. Astonishing?

You don't think it's the pitch neon? You don't think England will be doing the same later on today?
Must admit, South Africa are doing better in England than your lot did? 4:0

Nearly 400 on the first day a low score? Your boys would be thrilled with a score like that?
Today is a disastrous day for the Saffers who are just going through the motions here. This game is dead

Not at all, we have full control here We are the best team in the world and will let the saffers toil for 4 sessions whilst we play out a very high scoring draw. No problems.

Not seeing it like that whatsoever. England toying with the saffers and it is them that need the series win Time just disappearing for them here on a pitch that most teams outside india and australia would score plenty on.
A question boys. Will amla's 300 go in his record as 3 more hundreds or just 1 more?
England bowling with Trott and Bopara What is the Saffers plan here do you think?
