(that was a bigoted post by me, but I wrote it in invisible type, just trying to prove Mr Green's point, know)

I tend to agree, Curly.

Says what others would be scared to say. He has been clear he is at Rangers to make money. Don't know how much he is likely to make, but he is blunt, straight talking and my kinda guy ( in a non-biblical sense). Do I trust him? Not sure. Don't think so. But then ... I am a cynic.

the dignified silence has come to an end, not before time. it's time the world knew of scottish fottball's "goings on"

the bile and venom directed towards rangers, not just from rival fans, has been un-precedented

He gives me more confidence than Whyte ever did anyway

My only worry is that we're not in a position of strength- we should wait til the EBT thing is settled and when we're back in the SPL- then will be the time to speak out.

You should always, always speak up when you believe you are being wronged.

Shout it out I say. Let the whole world know what is going on.

i think our only position of strength is to come out fighting, the ebt and dual contract thing will be what it will be. Lawell and Doncaster have already seen to that.

Word football needs to know how we have been treated.

Green has already consulted with UEFA who have commented that they are less than impressed by the whole handling of the situation by the SFA not to mention the un-precedented sanctions of having to pay off another companies debts

I like the fact that hes not afraid to speak his mind but I suspect the 'news' papers will love this too. Just about every time he speaks he creates an easy headline.

I noticed today the headline on the Records site is -

'Rangers chief Charles Green sparks fresh storm as he accuses SPL clubs of bigotry'

What Charles Green actually said was -

"Some of it has been driven by bigotry, some of it's been driven by jealousy and some of it's been driven by all the wrong motives."

At no point does he actually say "SPL clubs are bigots".

What the guys obviously refering too is that fans said they wouldnt buy season tickets for their clubs if Rangers were alowed in the SPL. Many of these fans were quite rightly making this decision based on sporting integrity whilst others would have been making the decision that it was Rangers and they hate us. That hate comes in many forms, some of it is bigotry.

The clubs had to give into fans demands and thus some decisions were partly based on bigotry.

I like the way he clapped at 'If you hate Steward Regan clap your hands'. Lets be serious though, would any fan of any clubs SPL or SFL not clap along to that?

I have said that the SPL and the SFA have handled the whole sistuation really bad, but lets not forget scottish football has never been in this situation before, and Rangers are not the innocent party in all this.

Yes you have been punnished, and yes I think it should be left there, but if the shoe was on the other foot you think Rangers would let the duel contract sistuation go.....Like Fluck they would.

Good win yesterday

Why does Peter Lawell get blamed for Rangers cheating? Doesnt make sense...

Neither does your post

Hoop...sober up its Monday.
Jinky...you dont know how Rangers would have reacted but there's nothing worse than someone fanning the flames whilst maintaining a " dignified " silence which is cowardly.

Listen thats pi....sh and you know it Rangers are just the same as Celtic and that p.ssh is you don't know how Rangers would reacted is bull.

You would feel agreeved the same as we would, the only diffrence between us is we have had people run our club allot better than yours.

Curly, see when the FTT is published, and it is all spelled out, will you be back on here talking about cheating?

For example, how do you explain Souness' payments while he was at other clubs?

That's just for starters.

So I would keep your powder dry when claiming there was no cheating.

posted on 30/7/12

No one's arguing about the running of the club ! But, to attempt to justify Celtic's approach by saying " Rangers would have done the same " is weak . Is that the only reason Celtic are taking their stance ? I don't think so ! And dont say " sporting integrity " cos that card has been well and truly played.

Tim.....how the hell can a punter explain an EBT payment !? Just for starters ! And how would a payment to Souness be claimed as cheating ?

posted on 30/7/12

Don't want to railroad the thread lads, it's a can of worms.

Let's just say some people find the payments dodgy.

But I'm sure the FTT and the SFA will arbitrate properly, and we can all have that as our starting point.
