Even if he played for United you would still hold this same opinion.
Think carefully now before you answer

Yes I would. As someone who has been racially abused and suffered from racism on many occasions in this country I hate racism. But the Suarez situation wasn't racism at all. He was made a scapegoat by a weak FA and the media lapped it up. A foreign man comes to these shores and is racist. But the former England captain does something much worse in my eyes and hardly a word is spoken in comparison.
People on ja606 had a field day with Suarez but in comparison hardly anything was said about Terry.

So you can fully empaphise with Evra when he was being called a negro whilst in a confrontational match with Suarez then

Terry was not found guilty....simple
Suarez is 5 country miles from Sainthood.
But it's a repeating pattern over years.
British players flop as much as anyone. At the moment Bale and Young are far and away the worst offenders. Owen was a master of falling over legs.
But we always find a foreigner to take the cheat mantle so we don't have to look at our own.
It's better to call Ronaldo the biggest cheat, then when he left the league to a bigger and better club, pass the mantle to Torres, or Drogba, then onto Suarez.
Pick the class foreigners who get fouled 50x a match and put it all on them.
People on ja606 had a field day with Suarez but in comparison hardly anything was said about Terry.

In a cout of law. Fine
Luis should have had the right to the same. And you know what would have happened. Still have the same view now?
redconn, don't you think there is a difference how English fans can warm to foreign players and take them to their hearts, Henry, Zola, Freidel, Kuyt, Aguero, Van der Saar, Van Persie, could go on and on.
It's down to personality and defference,
as I say, not much difference between Evra and Suarez.
Both dispicable individuals.

You neglected to mention Gerrard king of the fosberry flop
What is it with you lot. Read the whole post, it was the gloating and the celebrating which riled me.
------------
I read your whole comment. So let's say you played for England you handballed on the line got sent of and the opposing team missed the penalty which meant England got though to the semi final of the World Cup. You wouldn't celebrate England getting through? Really?
The hand of god comments were not right, but in terms of the handball, he did what most footballers would do in that situation.
Ghana had their chance which was the penalty and they missed it.
Is what he did any worse than diving to get a penalty and then celebrating the goals scored. Diving is cheating, but a he was punished for the handball.
Holden, Suarez makes a complete meal of contact. Same with Ronaldo. Same with Torres.
These aren't innocents.
My point is the fury of all diving/play acting get funnelled to a top foreigner.
Ronaldo drew fury so we could all whistle and possibly even giggle about AJ, or Rooney outright cheating to end a historic run, Gerrard starfish.
lol @ the attempt to explain the public contempt for Suarez as some sort xenophobic act.
No, people just think he's a loathsome shight - it's really that simple

How ignorant of you.
=========================================
Ignorant of what????
I asked why you were venting your fury about the fact he cheated Ghana out of a WC Semi Final , when you've put in brackets that you'd have done the same.
WTF am I ignorant of? If you'd have done the same, then you obviously don't think it's a particularly bad offence.
If you're arguing the old chestnut about his celebration making all the moral difference to the offence, then you're a hypocrite, because to say that you'd do the same is to admit that you'd do it in a pre-meditated way, not even by instinct.
As if Paul Scholes and Phil Neville, when they did it, heroically resisted the urge to celebrate when the resulting penalty was slammed into the net and the game was lost, and as if slinking off and pretending you’re ashamed of it isn’t hypocritical nonsense.

Are you really that simple?
He was not guilty in a court of law where it is based upon unreasonable doubt. Terry admitted to saying those words, the judge said in his deliberation that he said those words, but because of the doubt surrounding the context, the judge rightly gave the not guilty verdict.
He has been charged by then FA. When Suarez was charged the articles started, the headlines calling him a racist were on back pages of tabloids. Before the hearing had even taken place.
But Terry charged with a similar misdemeanour and hardly anything. Hardly a peep on ja606.
The hypocrisy is outstanding.
