De Gea was top class last night, and Kagawa didn't put a foot wrong.
Nani was top as well, but Young was quite poor.
Good run around no doubt..should have upped the fittness levels. Defence looked good with the serbian cyborg back. Ando had a good game as did nani. Considering this game had a bit of bite we did well.
Scholes crunching biscuts was the highlight :0)
Good ol` Scholesy...........apparently busquests is still rolling round the car park
Did anyone else notice Rio b0llocking Evra????
Hope this is a taste of things to come. He needs someone to give him a flea in his ear to up his game.
Haha ..auld biscuts...what a tool....was hilarious when he tried the skills(pull back and spin) and was dispossesed..just before he was subbed lol
There were a few positives for sure, but we're still miles behind barca when it comes to keeping the ball, as for Rooney, needs a good kick up the backside!
Early early day phil.
He`ll soon get back into the swing of things.
We need to keep Anderson fit. He looked a beast in the first half

Everyone is miles behind Barca when it comes to keeping the ball.
"We need to keep Anderson fit. He looked a beast in the first half"
Couldn`t agree more! He was chasing the ball like it had a £20 note glued to it!!
That`s the Ando we all know about and pray we can get a full season out of!
I don't know why people are moany about Rooney, he's been on holiday most of the summer and he hardly feature alot in the Euro's. He needs to be match fit, there's two more pre season games left I think, he'll develop more fitness in them
I think fans are pretty quick to critisce our players, especially Rooney.
Rooney is still our best, consistent player and if it wasn't for his goals last season then we'll have been in a far worser state.
If SAF signs RVP, Rooney will need to up his game. With Kagawa too, he's no longer guaranteed a starting place... Well, he shouldn't be.

I wasnt aware we were in a worse state in the first place.
We don't need Rooney any more. Bebe is back!!

lol,brilliant.
I think United have far more players who need to "up there game" before we even go onto Rooney.
Nani,Anderson,Rio,Young,Welbeck,Hernandez to name but a few.

Well considering we got knocked out of both Euro competitions fairly comfortably by the opposition.
Getting knocked out of the two league Cups wasn't great form either.
Nani,Anderson,Rio,Young,Welbeck,Hernandez to name but a few

How many of these players are guaranteed to start? If Rooney is fit, he plays.

I think you of all people know that these players will roughly get-in about 30 games next season.
And you should also know that Ferguson sets up the team based on both ours and the oppositions strengths and weakness's.
Why is it always Rooney who seems to shoulder the bare brunt of the blame even though he is the one who regularly puts the ball in the back of the net,and generally has a better allround game than all of the squad members.

Lol.
Great,I disagree with people and there-fore I am labelled a Wum.
Brilliant.
you proclaim yourself as a neutral yet you refer to United as 'we'. Why troll this board?

Im a Football fan first,United/England fan second.
Rooney doesn't have anyone in the team who can challenge him for his place. Even if he is in a bad run of form, he'll start 9 times out of 10.
Now, with Kagawa and maybe RVP, that's 2 class players challenging him for his place on the pitch. Or, do we play Rooney out of position just to accomadate him?
I am not having a dig at Rooney. He's our best player, but when he first came to United he had players challening him for his place in Saha, van Nistelrooy, Forlan and Solskjaer. Now, he doesn't.
Why shouldn't we moan about Rooney? I am one of his biggest fans but i am also one of his biggest critics.
I criticise Rooney because i believe he CAN do better, MUST do better and he owes us.
His out-of-season condition is pathetic and his goals for us has masked his mediocre performance.
