Prison Comforts gone mad indeed
Villarreal are required in La Liga again. The yellow submarine will....rise again?
---
Villarreal are NOT the Yellow Submarine.
CÁDIZ are.
And we've just emerged from the 3rd div relegation zone.
Atleti will drift back into no man's land in 3rd. They may even fall asleep.
Is that true IOAG? Or are you just being biased towars Cadeeeeth?
Uppy I didn't type that comment, my PC's gone mad
I told you molesting kids at bus stops would get you into trouble.
Is that true IOAG?

Earned the nickname in the 80s. They spent a few seasons in Primera doing what Wigan does in the PL now.
I'm such a hated man around the Sports Gaming area me.

Best to do it away from nosey public eyes
So why are Villarreal sometimes referred to as the yellow submarine? Are they? Did i make this up?
Dot, You may have made it up as I haven't heard much about that before, I might be wrong though?
The club is nicknamed El Submarino Amarillo (Yellow Submarine) due to its yellow home kit, and due to being a low-profile team compared to Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Valencia CF, whom they have challenged for trophies over the last decade. Villarreal has often been touted as an example of small but successful clubs.[2]

Wikipedia is wrong though
Touted as a small but successful club? They were once the Spanish giants in the CL and were = to Valencia, Sevilla etc years back but as everyone else is, behind Barcalona and Real Madrid, they challenged, and were considerably one of the best teams in Spain and a good strong CL side.
Where did it all go wrong?
Now they have to do all that hard work again now, shame
Punishment for letting the smiling one move to Malaga
Malaga are now the new Villareal.
It will take them at least 3 very good seasons to get back where they used to be should they go up, which might be better for competition then as Real Sociedad come onto the scene a little bit more now.
Uppy, it's not made up, it's simply usurped.

LRF, they're not giants, they punched incredibly above their weight for a few years. Until the late 90s they'd never been in the top flight and rarely even in the 2nd division.
Villarreal's a provincial town of 50,000 inhabitants - not even a provincial capital. Even if its entire population went they'd only fill 1/2 the Camp Nou.
IOAG, Guess I need more Spanish lessons then.
To be honest, I only really started to take interest in European football End of 2011/Start of 2012 time and then I discovered this site and found out a lot more about European teams and footballers etc so I won't know too much.
So it's kind of like Madonna getting annoyed at Juventus being called The Old Lady?
That was officially the one trillionth 'Madonna is old' joke
Consider me an 'Amateur' to the likes of you chaps who have experienced probably at least 10 years of La Liga and me who has experienced 1 year because I don't watch a lot of La Liga. All depends on your age.
I started watching La Liga in 2000, when we got Sky. I'm still a buffoon though
I started watchong La Liga when my parents moved back to Spain and brought me with them. This is my 33rd Liga season.
But you're closer to death
Yes i have already lived for over double the average Scottish life expectancy
Top life expectancy in Europe.
Dot, You drag yourself down don't you
I'm just willing to know the basics of most big European football teams and all of that, not much more really. Just something that takes my mind off work really which is really useful.
