Almeria 1-1 Las Palmas after 90 minutes.
Bit confusing this, this morning I read that in the event of a draw on aggregate, the team that had finished higher in the league would qualify, but the game's going into extra time.
Almeria through - 2-1 aet, 3-2 agg
Girona 2-0 up approaching the break vs Alcorcon, 3-1 agg.
Huracan Valencia (from the town of Manises - pop 30,000, whose only claim to fame is being home to Valencia airport) are through to the playoff finals for a place in Segunda!
They're a tiny, tiny team who play their home games in a 1,000-capacity multi-purpose sports ground.

i like the name "Huracan"
hope they make it
You know what guys? Forget that nonsense of me not watching la liga next season. I can't live without my favorite league in the world.

Hello you beautiful people.
Almería-Girona for a place in La Liga.
Enjoyed watching Spain last night, their football flowed so much better than in recent times. If they kept it up throughout the tournament, I wonder if it would make Del Bosque reconsider the set up, esp. as regards Alonso's role/place in the side.
Spain were a joy to watch! I have always said that having Alonso and Busquets is not only unnecessary but robs the side of it's fluidity. With Alonso getting on a bit, maybe he will consider changing the setup but I am not holding my breathe over that.
If Spain want to win the WC then they must only play Busquets and not Alonso. If they don't want to win it, then by all means play Alonso.
Alonso did win them the semi against Germany in the world cup though. He was outstanding in that match. Totally nullified Shweini.
That was a peak Alonso though
The reason for playing 2 holding mids is to protect the defence better, and you can't really question it in terms of results, but the style of play itself is a bit disappointing after 2008 gave us a glimpse of what they might be capable of if they were a bit less shackled.

Un-fúcking-believable.
