Edin
Being a Spurs fan and having Berbatov, Sol and Modric all as public enemy number 1, you do have some huge balls to spout that nonsense.

posted on 18/6/13

No nonsens at all, I dont begrudge what Berbatov did, or Modric, or Carrick. Sol is slightly different considering he said he was happy to be at our club during the January transfer window then went to Arsenal for free.

You have to be pretty bitter to still have that bit between your teeth RE RVP

Let's see how long it will take for you to turn red after Bale puts in a transfer request. You are a massive hypocrite.

Prove to me how I am a hypocrite?

Edin - RvP forced our hand by publicly criticising the club. Despite being correct in his criticism, it was entirely out of order for him to put that letter in public.

He 'carried' us for one season. The one season he was fully fit. Then he suddenly gets all Billy Big Baws and thinks Arsenal owe HIM.

No one disputes that it was the right decision. He was just a colossal about it.

Arsenal didnt owe him just as he didnt owe Arsenal. I think people tend to look for the bad in RVP's comments when leaving, he left no worse than Cesc but everyone loves him because he went 'home' which somehow justifies it.

If I was RVP I would have done very little differently tbh.

Still waiting to see why Wumpatrol thinks I am a 'hypocrite'. Maybe he learned the word today for the first time?

If you had any respect for your current employer/club you would have voiced those concerns only in private. Going public basically meant all other clubs knew he was leaving, thus making our negotiation position more difficult.

I really hope the story is true about him having second thoughts after we'd signed Cazorla but Wenger told him to f off.

Thing is, i don't think we'd have been very far off winning the title if he'd stayed.

But would you have signed all those replacements had he stayed

CSTP, Canales makes the RVP of his Arsenal days look more solid than Terminator.

Shortly after his move to Valencia, Canales did his knee ligaments. Only a couple of weeks after his return from injury, he did them again.

He finally made it back again at the end of Jan and made 15 appearances in all comps - roughly half as a sub - but by the end of La Liga he'd endured no less than 4 muscle injuries.

He still made the squad for the U21 Euros. In the opening game against Russia he came on for Rodrigo after 77 minutes. Time enough for him to tear his hamstring and get put on the plane back home.

^ That is the million dollar question.

We'd have signed Cazorla, Arsene was in for him the season before, but Malaga came in.

Podolski was being linked during the 11/12 seasn, and it seemed fairly concrete. Think we'd have signed him
too.

No idea about Jiroo.

it's always sad when injuries ruin a player's career

Loved that Gil page peks.

16 years, 39 managers, Over 140 player signings.

That's a rough average of 2 1/2 maagers and 9 new signings per season.

But what about his career-high?
6 managers in the 93/94 season.

What a loony.

Aside from his funny name, tell me a little bit about Kondogbia

to think Gil was major of marbella not so long ago

Political Correctness and Spain

things are changing now though

CSTP, haven't really watched Kondogbia so I can't say. I do know he's attracted a lot of interest - in the media at any rate - but if Feelgood, our resident sevillista, pops up, he'll be able to tell you a lot more.

Btw Doc, if you do turn up, I quite like the look of Antonio Moreno from what I've seen in the U21s.

But nothing ever stays the same, nothing's explained.

Amigos, Isco or Muniain?

I know the aforementioned statement is symptomatic of the quotidian spiel emanating from the Gooners board but humour me.

Isco is rightly, flavour-of-the-year but i have long maintained Muniain is an outrageous talent and despite lack of form and favour has more to offer than Isco.

Perhaps because i have watched Muniain more on telly and in the flesh but i feel he has stagnated at Bilbao and like Javi Martinez (who has had a sensational maiden season at Bayern) should leave Bilbao for greener pastures( i would welcome him as Rooney's replacement)

Do the amigos disagree and consider Muniain Reyes MK2?

Muniain could do with a move away, but at the moment he's quite a bit behind Isco. I really hope he doesn't go to City and get ruined

Alright gents

There are probably a lot of factors that help explain it - but it's still just one poor season in an otherwise meteoric progression. I'd wait and see.

I have followed Isco's career since he was around 15 years when he played for Valencia and I can comfortably say that he is a better player than Muniain. Muniain has had a difficult year but I don't think he needs to leave Athletic to pick himself up.
