tbh, i think maybe my issue with pink flloyd is they're a bit depressing. probably the band i dislike the most is radiohead, because they basically just prey on people's depression. im not sure whether pink flloyd didnt start that genre tbh.

I've had to calm down with advancing years mate. I still like a lot of that stuff but my tastes are fairly eclectic to be honest.

The green mohican doesn't really fit with the work image these days and sadly there's not enough of it left to grow a mohican <laugh.

harrys - last time i was in bangkok (boast), i stumbled across a thai punk concert.

the street was full of these 20something thais with mohicans

where you gone man ?

Anyway re Galv. He used to be a singer in a rock band. some record company paid them to tour the states and record an album. just about when they were going to release it, the record company got sued by bruce springsteen and went bust.

Thai punk concert ! that's got to be a sight to behold

I'm an ex Navy man so I've travelled a bit but not to thailand sadly. A mate of mine got a very nasty suprise down a dark alley with a young "lady" in Singapore though

Seen The Fall in 1990 Bob, along with The Wedding Present (good fun) and followed by the best band of all time (imo).

Nirvana were at the same weekender, or the year after - they were poor actually, but Kurt was out of it. Still, good band.

Happy Mondays, Stone Roses - Oasis can only dream (although their first two albums were pretty good uni bar favourites).

I am a huge reggae and dub man myself, although there is not enough round here. Lee Scratch Perry is the man (anyone interested in music should look this guy up - he invented over-dubbing etc).

Massive Attack are one of the best bands I've ever seen live. Bjork was also good. Elton John (surprisingly - never liked him really) was great. Leonard Cohen is one of my heroes. Mccartney was absolutely unbelievable in London before Christmas. Prince is beyond comparison live - the closest thing I've seen (not live) to the way that guy can play the guitar is Hendrix imo.

one of the guys in the spurf league lives in thailand. he's told similar stories

i think it's a great country. it's a shame really that it has that image because it's a beuatiful place.

last time i went, i went to pattaya to see what the fuss was ab out, and i was amazed to find that i actually enjoyed the place. it's just so out there, it's a good laugh.

the country has much more to offer than that though
