Cech isn't world class. Bloomin Vorm is even better than him
If Vorm played for Barca he'd be world class. Handanovic is quality. Patricio will be.
"Mata and Silva fit that category, Cazorla is questionable but he was great today. 3 games does not a world class player make."
I thought Cazorla was world class before the Prem started.
If Silva and Mata are being touted as that, Cazorla certainly should be classed as that too.
Would Cazorla fit into the Barcelona side?
I'm saying it's questionable but let's see how he develops at a top team.
I meant to say Vorm would be considered world class of If he played for Barca over Swansea.
Can you play internationally, say with any given team in the world and be one of the beaters (winners that is)?... if so you are world class.....Classification: Capable of playing with the best on the planet and giving a good game. That is world class, but in no way does it make you the very best (or even one of the very best)...it merely makes you one of the best and world class too. End of silly rant!
and a too
It's weird with Cech and Reina, they're meant to be entering the GK's prime (entering 30's) but they have been bad. I don't know why, could be fatigue or no arrogance that no one on the bench can challenge their place.
Cech was incredible at the end of last season.
World class easily.
Whether he will continue that I don't know.
We don't have enough of these discussions about what world class really means.
Hi Saint! Sorry for taking so long to reply! Using the phone and struggling to get reception
ELVIS
World class statement!
"I see the term world class thrown around a lot these days"
one of the ultimate footballing cliches
Also, i think Silva is world class, Cazorla is top class (haven't seen enough to say he's world class but very impressive) and Mata is very good but isn't world class. All depends on what attributes you look for and how you define world class of course.
Now for me Paul Scholes used to fit "world class" bracket. Unfortunately
Still can't believe someone said Nani is world class.
If Nani is world class then so is malouda
"I'm saying it's questionable but let's see how he develops at a top team."
Would Silva? Would Mata?
Those 3 are better than Pedro, so I am sure Barca could squeeze them in somehow.
Nani is far from world class! Has lots of ability though.
From the top of my head....
World class at this moment in time imo -
Kompany,Yaya Toure, Aguero, Silva, Tevez, Van Persie
On the right path to becoming world class
Cazorla, Mata, Hazard, Kagawa, De Gea, Koscienly, Bertrand, Dembele, Ben Arfa, Allen,Fellaini,Hart
Players with potential to become world class
Cleverley,Wilshere,Oxo,Sterling,Oscar
Was world class
Cech,Reina,Terry,Cole,Lampard,Gerrard,Vidic,Ferdinand,Scholes,Giggs,
For some people anything with a minor affiliation to Barca is automatically world class, no questions asked
Few players i've missed that i'm sure i'll remember later though.
Evra was world class too Oscar, but he's declined so much now. It's really sad to see
Not anywhere near the rate Malouda has
I think the term is stupid. I think there is also the issue of fromer elite players.
Also Tevez and Silva are both hilariously overrated.
World class is wessentially a silly term thats meant to mean they are more than great. Its pointless discussing.
If what you are asking is who'd make it into a World XI, thats also pointless and futile.
