People crying about using the squad is always funny when we go unchanged and lose anyway
----------------------------------------------------------------------

yes this

Same people dont realise how many strong XI's have lost in recent seasons (Middlesbrough 2021 anyone?)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Same people realise that you have more chance with your strongest line up than a weaker one.

It’s fine, but none of you khunts who are happy about tonight’s line up can complain at the end of the season when we don’t win anything again - this line up tonight is the exact reason why

If anything the B side know if they don’t perform today they won’t be getting many starts until January… got to be an incentive

This clubs a waste of time in terms of trophies, there is zero desire to actually win any.

At the start of the season we had 2 realistic trophies chances and were completely throwing one of them away tonight with a shocking team.

Would love Devon’s thoughts on this - why do our managers going back to Poch consistently rotate us out of cup comps - Jose was the only one who tried and he got fired 5 days before the final.

Something is broken at Tottenham - it’s name is slap head bald khunt Levy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm guessing but it could be the managers are told that league position, top 4 more importantly and the associated cash are the drive of the board, Levy included?

I've no basis for this opinion but as I recall and happy to stand corrected Ange didn't make wholesale cup team changes with Celtic
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes that’s exactly what I’m saying, Spurs motto should be “Profit before Glory” - I said this morning, a weak line up here proves beyond doubt that our board would take a CL finish over wining either or both domestic trophies - it’s clear as day.

Meanwhile our fans moan about how long we’ve gone without a trophy. It just falls on deaf ears - it’s one of the reasons that Levy is so despised, it’s all about the money, he is not in it to win trophies

Rotating the whole xi has usually been more of a b team mentality under prior managers but he’s playing a team of players all recently involved and appreciated by the coach
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sure we can try and turn it into a positive - we might even scrape through but we all know what’s actually happening here

Not always, often the first team squad don't try to impress like some of the backup players do. There has been so many examples of this in recent times.

The XI allows us to see how our secondary unit gel as a team - it is also pretty strong.

Perisic and Solomon suit our system better than Kulu/Son. Will be nice to see Richy with crossing wingers.

Then PEH is obviously a good player, Skipp started the season in the first XI, as did Royal. Ben Davies has been consistently good for us & VDV is a gem.

Forster is possibly the only worry in that XI for me.

Big clubs win the trophies 95% of the time. Big clubs rotate in first round of league cups and still go through .

Maybe you’re right, we should play same xi every game until we have to play lesser players for more sustain periods which hampers us in all comps later on

Yeah, maybe hyperbole.
Just slow and vulnerable - like my grandma
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The same fullbacks that have been playing inside all season while the CB's cover out wide in quick transitions?

It’s not comparable to making 9 changes in recent years and have to give the manager credit for that

Surely start your better players and then rotate during the game when leading etc

With no Europe spurs should be going balls deep at both domestic trophies

By you can rotate during the game either way

Teams that win trophies 95% contend in Europe too, as the best squads win things. Something we want and have more than recent seasons, especially with the change in style of play. Let’s see. If we don’t get the result Fulham may have played well and it’s as touch a 2nd round fixture as you get.

5/6 changes would be ideal but we don’t know the fitness etc of some like the manager does. Bissouma and Maddison transform the team and both have had concerns in recent games

In all comps later on = the PL and FA cup. Man City rest players because they have the ability to win the league and CL.

If we go out tonight then we will play a max of 45 games this season - that’s one less than a season in the Championship.

Maybe we shouldn’t train given more injuries occur in training than matches
