Meh
Bit annoying but soon forgotten with 3 points on Saturday.
Fraser getting done exactly the same way for 4 of the 5 pens was comical, and Sanchez being on pen duties also was.
As we know, and has been the case for ages, the drop off between the first team and the squad is waaaay too big
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that’s part of the problem, fans forget too easily.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or we just realise that progressing is largely irrelevant as city will steam roller all in front of them to get the trophy again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To dare is to do nothing because Man City will win everything anyway

Maybe, but without Europe, it would have been nice to have at least a bit of a cup run.
We now have all the fun of seeing what team selection he goes with in the FA Cup!
The only thing I will say is that we’re at the start of s long process. We weren’t expected to win anything this year. Most of us were happy with progress on the pitch which we’ve got, albeit with the first team.
As Chronic says, the chances of us defeating City who will no doubt want this trophy back, were close to zero anyway.
We move on.

Now though he’s got the awkwardness of just two competitions and a bloated squad to keep happy. He brought this on himself.

To blame Ange tonight is to refuse the opportunity to turn the screw even further on Levy. It's exactly what Levy wants. If we blame the manager that's music to his ears. He'll just fire him and bring in the next mug. We need to wake up and realise what's really going on. One League Cup in their 22 year tenure is precisely because of decisions like tonight. It's no coincidence. It's by design.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry Fridge, but if successive managers had picked stronger teams over the past few years them just perhaps they wouldn't keep getting dumped out in the 1st round of cup competitions.
Zero excuse for the manager to make nine changes tonight, then sit on his arris all night and not react quickly enough with his subs. He should have subbed at least four at halftime, then takes off the goalscorer when another goal was needed. It was amateurish.
I feel most for the 6k who went to the game with hope and new invigor hoping we have turned a corner, New many new ideas new vision…… mugged off a usual same old bottle job shat.

We constantly get beaten, when we put reserve players in the first team…
Think of :
Royal Antwerp
Mura
Middlesborough etc… etc…
It’s time Levy & the management team just gets rid of the under achievers, still at the club…
We all know who they are…

If the first team had gone out, I would have agreed with you.
But Ange thinks he and spurs are bigger than this competition and that coming fourth is more important. Just like the last lot of loser managers we had.
Why don’t we actually try to win a f a cking trophy for once? Isn’t that the whole point of supporting and playing the game?
Does anyone care about champions league anymore? Apart from Enic?

That’s total bollox and the reason why we never win any silverware is this kind of attitude. We have no Europe this season, have looked a cohesive outfit in the PL so far, are only 3 games in with an international break upon us - there was no excuse whatsoever to make 8 changes for this game, away at PL opposition when this comp is our most obvious route to a trophy. A huge opportunity pissssed up the wall with yet another manager making the same fack ups as his predecessors and, yet again it exemplifies the dismal lack of quality in depth of our squads under ENIC that we are incapable of getting through these games when we rotate.
This has massively taken the shine off of what was a positive start to the season in my book, another spurs sheite show - stick it on the never ending facking list.
Transition Season Hotspur they should rename us. Fans singing ‘we’ve got our Tottenham back’ after 3 league wins would’ve been music to Levy’s ears when he’s sitting pretty on the £100m Kane money with his 3rd or 4th choice manager in the dug out, convinced he’s stumbled onto another Poch situation and back in everyone’s good books.

👏🏾👏🏾 its why we have gone 15+ years without a trophy and will continue to do so. So that levy gets his top4 money. 0 trophies!!!!
Levy will incentivise CL qualification with large bonuses on offer to the manager for finishing in the top 4, so there is no wonder every manager essentially sacks off the cups by playing reserves to save the first XI for the PL
