Not ‘that’ bad but not good. Others were worse. We were a pile of dump, on the whole.

We all know how this ends. Rest the 1st XI for a cup match. Lose the cup match, lose the momentum, go to Burnley and lose the Prem match.

How many times have we been there?

On paper it’s a good first 11, if Son can find his shooting boots and Johnson, Maddison and Kulusevski chip in with a reasonable amount of goals we should be ok. Bentancur to come back as well.

It’s the paucity of quality in depth that is the concern, especially at the back. We are banking on key players being fit all season as we don’t have the options to rotate or absorb injuries.

Thats more like a Ange front line I believe, dont think he goes for big CF, Johnson should fit in perfectly
