Mason needed to have one of his half time team talks before the game kicked off.

Brilliant performance from Spurs their definitely in the Title race this season so we dont want to hear any Excuses!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When did I say that cause it wasn't 10 minutes ago.

No excuses from you this season,no team have been playing better than you this season bar City.

Ange has given permission for us to get carried away. Anyway, at what point can we get carried away in your opinion Grandspurs?
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Well if you are seriously asking about us being in the title race probably in about 10 or 15 years time

Good answer.
But seriously, this looks like the best Spurs first 11I think I've seen in 40 years. No obvious weak links.

I expected us to have a good season this season under Ange. Top 4 was a possibility and I even optimistically thought we could challenge for the league with Kane on board. Not sure about that but maybe it's still on.

I am one of the most critical posters on here but this season I am more than happy with the manager and think he has put a really good side together in the short time he has been here BUT.

We are still well short of winning the title. The forward line is not quite good enough yet but the biggest worry is that outside of our starting X1 we will struggle.

An injury or two and we will be really struggle. Thats why we wont be anywhere near the title race. We have no good options in defence other than the 4 who played there today. Midfield wise we are also light, injuries to either Bissouma or Madison will hit us really hard.

But hey we are back playing attacking football and the boring days of Jose and Conte are behind us so I am more than happy.

Next week will be another big test for us and at least give us an indication as to whether or not we can start to dream Top 4 again or not.

No Europe might come into play. Less attrition. We've seen surprise title challenges from teams with no Euro distractions.
If this run continues, January reinforcements could be key. I'm sure Levy will recognise that and slap down the necessary finance, like he always does

Said at the time this was a leg breaker and lucky only to get a yellow

Agreed but I thought he was a "home ref" all game personally. That Vierra who went off at half time should have had at least a yellow and one of the challenges on Udogie deserved a yellow. I am still happy with the result and the performance overall. The only worrying thing was as soon as Son and Madison went off we showed little or no threat going forwards.

Nearly a leg breaker, 'nearly' being the operative word.

You could give a red there but would be harsh IMO

I mean

Genuinely one of the most obvious red cards I can remember

Completely scissored his leg (behave), and so late it was practically in a different time zone, so clearly not controlled either

Yeah but last time studs went into the leg you said no red. He's trying to block the pass out. Call me old fashioned but intent does matter. Yeah it looks bad in slow mo and you could red but it's not blatant like

Topperspur said "You're joking" when I said it was a red.

It was late and his foot was high.

I think we’ve all seen the worst signing in the league is Havertz now.

Awful decision to sign him

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, ludicrous. He was woeful at Chelsea but Legohead believing his own hype thinking he’s a Pep type genius thought he could sign him and make himself look a miracle worker by getting a tune out of him. No logic to the signing at all, and 60 million fecking quid, what a joke.
