Benteleb looks worryingly short of quality against top teams. Perhaps Stambouli will be the man to replace him short-term, until he develops a little more. Not that I know much about him … But reports are encouraging and at 4million, he’s hardly a risk.

Negredo would be a stunning signing. Not going to happen sadly – especially as City haven’t signed Falcao.

We do rather seem to waste a lot of player’s careers. Holtby is one of them. It’s frustrating that we can’t find the right role for him.

Yep.

Goals are going to be an issue this season I think. If we had the money, we would bring in a top striker and a good inside forward. It would seem Poch thinks most positions need major surgery *sigh*. Ah well – another couple of ‘transitional’ seasons ahead boys.

It’s unlikely we’re signing any striker other than Welbeck. So if Soldado is off, that seems like a fairly raw deal. Also Poch has said Soldado is staying – and he seems more trustworthy than Uncle ‘Arry.
