Soldado scores and then gets left on the bench?! Negative reinforcement much!

Agreed now I am positive we will lose and look crap

Can see the logic in this to be honest even though Im disappointed soldado is not starting but maybe going 2 upfront at chelsea is potentially suicide so poch going with the 1 up top. Not a huge fan of chirichis but he seems better in that right back slot than naughton and we would be guaranteed a red card if naughton played against hazard. We won't get much from this game anyway regardless of line up but a decent performance is what I want

grand, Pochettino has picked players who are hard working. Mason, Kane, Lennon, Bentaleb and even Lamela put in a shift whenever they play.

It is better have two CMs who can pass and work hard to track back and make a tackle than have a CDM who will slow down our play.

Kane is more direct than Soldado and that might cause some concern for Cahill and Terry who will be wary of giving away penalties or free kicks which Eriksen and Kane are capable of scoring.

Chelsea have a strong XI, but their bench looks not as strong as Spurs.

Filipe Luis, Schurrle, Remy and potentially Mikel would all make out starting 11.

Did anybody not work hard against Everton then? Our best performance of the season so far and we go back to a crap system that has seen us look crap every time we have played it

What are you on about? It's the same team as Everton except Soldad and Lamela change.

Whatever happens tonight, that will be the three hardest away games of the season out of the way, following on from the trips to Arsenal and City, and Spurs will still be in touch, even if they lose.

What makes you think the system has charged? If Lamela plays behind Kane it remains a 4411 with Lennon and Eriksen on the flanks

posted on 3/12/14

I'm sure Soldado will be back against Palace. I think anyone other than Chelsea and he'd probably have played tonight.

Time for Lamela to step up.

Exactly so wtf you are mentioning Mason and Bentaleb for god only knows try reading what I post before you comment on my opinions and my complaint is that Lamela is in instead of Soldado and we have gone back to one up front

My concerns are:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

That after a good enjoyable performance that we have gone back to a negative sustem that has not worked all season what the hell makes MP think it will work against the best team in the land on current form?

This is the same system that saw the likes of west brom beat us at home and IMO its a dreadful choice by our manager

--------------------

If it's Lennon on the left and Lamela right id agree with you.

If it's the opposite then it's nothing like earlier in the season. It will be players wide, playing on their correct sides, able to get outside their opposite number rather than running in to congested central areas

Will we be parking the bus or play a high line pressing game?

posted on 3/12/14

Yeh grand, it's the same bloody team near enough as the Everton game it's just Lamela will be supporting Kane rather than soldado

Thats not how we have operated with Lamela in previously

I'd be annoyed if it's not Lamela down the middle

Mason and Bentaleb won't be taking a backseat. Reckon we'll try and play like we did at City.

Right I have a great idea. Lets take our MOTM from the Everton game from a deep laying position where his work rate won us the game and put him up front on hsi own totally isolated and waiting for the ball for 90 minutes.

Right what a good idea

I said I was disappointed soldado ain't playing but can see the logic in the poch line up
