Guys..........it’s pre season and how we play now is less important than how we play on the 10th August.

Think back to 2008-09 season, we were winning friendlies for fun, including hammering the Serie A runners up Roma, 5-0.
The pundits were saying we were the team to watch in the PL and that we were going to upset the normal top 4


Yet come the first of November we were rock bottom of the PL with 9 points. Having lost to Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Villa, Fulham, Portsmouth and West Brom.

We finished 8th behind both Villa & Fulham, and out of Europe!

Of course we are not the same club now, however it is still worth noting that players will have to bed themselves in and if we have 3-4 new guys then we have to be patient.

I still expect us to start well though against Villa

My only problem Genius, is that a lot of our players have not had a minute of pre season yet because they are at home. Rose, Davies, Aurier, Lloris, Wanyama, Sanchez, etc.

No more than United deserve, they have been streets in front of Spurs today.

You've got to admit, he looks more likely of scoring a brace or hat-trick than Kane when he plays at the moment. Just a question of how often he plays.

It’s our 2nd game of preseason we’re still well in July. Our form in this game has little to do with how we will play this season

Relax Sandy it is a friendly!

You find many younger players better in the friendly games as they are eager but the a lot of the first teamers it is all about fitness
