"So anyone that disagrees with you is "delusional"? Funny thing is you're the delusional one."
==

When did I say that?

"Just cause a player is Spanish, doesn't automatically make him class. Same with playing for Barca."
===

yes, I know that.

"So when you say Martinez is better than Arteta it is fact?"
===

Absolutely.

I love how you two bumchums keep bringing up the Lombaerts thing when neither of you have seen him play.

What Dubbed said is reasonable for me and not delusion. You have a different opinion in this case. That's all.

Interesting debate. Several things to say, so I'll put them in separate posts:

On Cazorla and why he hasn't risen to 'stardom' before:

At country level Cazorla's been in and around the fringes of the team ever since Aragones. He's 'only' been kept out by Xavi, Iniesta, haven't they kept Cesc out too?.

And at club level?

He was in one of the best possible places outside Barça and Madrid. At Barça you had the same problem - Xavi & Iniesta. Madrid did try to sign him, but were extremely arrogant in how they approached him, and he snubbed them.

Not much else behind those two given the financial state Valencia & Atlético were in - and not all that much to gain over Villarreal. What happened when a club with big bucks came in? They swooped for Cazorla straight away. And how did his departure impact Villarreal? Well, he wasn't the only reason by any means, but they immediately went from CL club to Div.2 club.

Why didn't he attract much interest from abroad? Well, I can't honestly say as regards Italy, but coming off the back of its own ascendancy in the CL, the PL has been very slow to accept the tactical shift in football. It's only in the past couple of years that aspiring clubs are looking to adopt a more patient game that puts more of an emphasis on the qualities Cazorla brings to the table. A couple of years back, Arsenal were the only big club doing this, and, as established here, they had indeed shown an interest.

ioag, would you agree that both Martinez and Thiago are comfortably better than Arteta.

I'm a bit similar to you in that sense then, eh Dubbed?

Martinez is in the Spanish squad because he is younger and more versatile that Arteta. If Artets was 10 years younger he would be in the Spain squad.

And because he's a better player than Arteta.

Not really Kamran.

I can, at the very least expand on my points.
You repeat the same idiotic one liners, thinking you're making a valid point.

How many times have I seen you wrestle with a faceless internet tool, who gets the better of you?
In your own head though, you think you have him cornered So deluded.

Kam, Arteta's perfectly adapted to the PL and can is more of a CM than Martínez, who's an excellent DM who's by no means bereft of technique. If Bielsa hadn't retreated him into a CB role we'd have more recent elements to see how his midfield game has developed over the past year.

Truth is these who's better than who debates always end up deteriorating into a squabble where nobody's really willing to concede.

Same old trash. You say I'm repetitive, but all you do is throw about the same childish lines and wait for one of your bumboys to laugh it at. It's boring.

I explain my points, you respond with something completely irrelevant. Like what you did with that 'Iniesta and Messi' comment earlier. Then I try and explain the point I made again because you're too simple to understand it the first time.

He'll be sold soon he's that good

Please give me a yes or no answer, ioag! Don't tease me like that.

I know they're all different players, but do you think Thiago and Martinez are better than Arteta?!

I gotta go for a poo in a minute, so please respond quickly!

Hardly.

I just post my observations on you. Whether people choose to laugh at that, is, believe or not, optional.

"I explain my points, you respond with something completely irrelevant. Like what you did with that 'Iniesta and Messi' comment earlier. Then I try and explain the point I made again because you're too simple to understand it the first time."

Where have you explained your points? All you ever do is state "player x is better than player z because I said so".

That 'Iniesta and Messi' joke was made a few pages ago. Don't know why you choose to focus on that, when you're the very reason this article has strayed off topic.

I'm not teasing Kam. I haven't got a yes or no opinion on the subject.

Yeah, I believe you.

"Where have you explained your points? All you ever do is state "player x is better than player z because I said so"."

I explained why I think each player is better. I explained their qualities and abilities, you chose to ignore them.

Because it was an 'irrelevant' comment Dubbed

ioag, I will never forgive you for this.

I can't hold this in any longer. brb.

Arteta > Martinez and Thiago

Agree with it and there is absolute no doubt about that. It could change in the near future of course but at the moment I have no doubts.
