A trial cannot hurt, because you are not losing anything as opposed to jumping right in and signing him. Celtic seem to have a scout who is now scouting the African market. Very good players in Africa, but teams from the continent never win the World Cup because all their good players are scattered across different nations.

Laugh all you want Dados but our scouting is going to be worth a lot financially. I am happy that we go out there looking for the Borucs, Nakamuras and Izzys of this world. Much happier than just feeding off the scraps of unwanted Premiership players and SPL players.

It's totally irrelevant what those players achieve once they've moved from Celtic. What matters is that were major successes while they were here.

And as for your comment about Izzy. Did you only watch half of last season or something?

They just cannot accept that we have a manager who is fed up being a retirement home for EPL duds. We have moved on to go for young player with technical ability and sell them on. They can sign the EPL rejects: Cuellar, Healy, Diouf etc all they want but Celtic should not. We look across the world and the lower English leagues so we do not end up paying over the price for pash. I accept we signed Ljungberg but that was solely for experience. But we should not pay 20k a week for players past it.

Who said we thought he was as good as roberto carlos? I love it how the rangers fans make stuff up to make their point. I'll put my life on the fact that no celtic fan that knows what they are talking about has ever compared emilio to roberto. He is without a doubt the best LB in the league at the present and has settled very well in the scottish game. We cant judge him on europe as he hasnt played yet, but he will.
