I agree with you OP. There is no way in the world that Evra is completely blameles for the handshake fiasco, his hand was by his side ffs. Was Suarez meant to literally grab his hand from his side and force the handshake?

The media were already well against Suarez at that point though having already labelled him a racist.

Evra's hand was their to be shaken. Perhaps a few inches lower than it was for the previous player, but still there to be shaken.

Isn't this exactly what the article is suggesting? I noticed this when I first saw the incident and thought it demonstrated a reluctance to shake Suarez' hand

Was JFK killed by Lee Harvey Oswald or was it a conspiracy/

Makes it kinda relevent to discuss. Was he or wasn't he?
----------------------------------------------
I have my opinions on that. Why don't you make a thread and we can talk about it.

Does anybody know who killed Archie?

--------------------------

Well, I know that Archie Duke shot an ostrich. Is that any help?

Both had the opportunity to 'make' the handshake happen as the passed each other.

Both waited for the other to do it and/or chose not to be the initiator.

The end.

It wasn't at his side, it was still in front of him, if not a little lower than when shaking with other players. However, his hand does come up to meet Suarez's, who continues to raise his hand having shook with the mascot and goes right over Evra's hand.

What came first, the chicken or the egg?

Discuss.

Jesus some very bitter people on here. I'm relatively new to the site as far as posting goes but it drives me mad by the subject police on here.

This guy is more than fine talking about a football related issue. I agree some what with what he is saying. Suarez certainly is a media panto villain. In the same way Ronaldo was. And I think it's 6 and 2 threes.

In answer to your question, yes I think Evra was going to shake his hand, but DID move his hand back. That much is clear. I think he wanted to Suarez to move to him, in a power move kinda way. We all do it subconsciously or not. Suarez I then think in a split second changed his mind and decided against shaking his hand.

But as somebody else has said, RAP I think, this would have been more appropriate months ago. Or at least writing a comparison article about the Terry / Ferdinand issue

--------------------------------------------

Evra did try to initiate it though, albeit a bit late. Why did Suarez then shake him off? Why not just shake then?

could it be, perhaps, that he had no intention of shaking in the first place?

I hope they shake hands and get it over and done with. Then we won't have to be reading any more threads on the matter.

Total rubbish

Evra even grabbed him nad Suarez deliberatly ignored him and shook him away

Suggesting any different is daft

Evra's hand were just slightly lower than they were when he was shaking other LFC players hands but his hands were clearly moving forward towrads Suarez's hands

To suggest Evra didnt attempt to shake his hand is just daft. He forcably tried ffs

When De Gea and Paddy tried to get him to shake his hand Suarez deliberatly completely ignored it

Ronaldo was a panto villain because he dived a lot. Suarez is a just a villain because he's racially abused a peer and then refused to shake his hand. Can't quite understand the correlation there.

I still want to know what came first. The chicken or the egg? It's more interesting than this total heap.

Same here. Only difference is I will say something if I think a Pool player is being mistreated.

---------------------------------------------------

So why couldn't you have added your two cents worth back when it happened instead of bringing it up again now?

-------------------------------------------------

After all this I hope Buttner starts

--------------------------------------------------

That's one way to settle it.
