I get a feeling he might flop in Anfield (with many others).
The funniest thing in this board is that if a player can make it, say in Everton, that he could pull the same in Liverpool. For example Jelavic, he would be just another Voronin with us. We need someone much better, I know someone like Cavani is out of our touch, but we might get Damioa or such. Ba, might work or might not, he's no Torres though.
maybe so tutored but everton are streets ahead of where we want to be at the moment. If they are good enough, they are good enough. He most certainly wont be worse than Borini.
Considering our current lack of strikers in form (or any for that matter) Ba could only improve our team.
Obviously Ba would be better than getting no one in but i'm not a fan of him.
I'm not sure why we didn't try for Jordan Rhodes he would have got some goals for us.
It's a no brainer that we should go for him. The man scores goals and scores them against good sides. Pardew put him on the left back end of last season and it did not work out but as a number 9 he will get us goals.
The owners have already said that they will not pay silly money in january so you can forget these fan favourite names like Llorente, Jovetvic and Diamio as they will seek summer moves to CL clubs.
Firstly why in the world would Pardew sell him for 7m? Seems like another made up story. I mean when do managers say how much they will accept for a player? This smacks of the media making up a story, similar to when they made up a story saying Rodgers said he will accept 20m for Carroll.
A-hem, Andy Carroll was banging goals for the Toon aswell so what makes you think Ba will do something for us?
Cant see it happening. I would rather take a long shot punt on Llorente or more realistically Huntelaar who we should have got in the summer.

He had a really good half a season, no guarantee he will be any good.
Carroll was the same but probably didn't get the best opportunity to prove himself.
We should throw whatever we could on Damiao. Not happy with his team and is a very good scorer. Better than Llorente IMO and is still very young.

They actually said they'll correct summer mistake with a very good signing in January. They're prepared to spend big but only on those with resale value. Damiao is only 23..

apparentyly we have to wait a few years before we can say how bad he is, I have seen more than enough to know that he is no where near up to scratch

just joking - i would love Borini to prove me wrong but i have been so dissapointed how poor he looks.
toor thats his release clause whixh is reactivated in january, came from pardews mouth on the bbc
I know we should be positive about Borini but let's be honest he has looked more like a Chelsea reject than a promising Roma striker. It's a bit unfair putting the goals pressure on a 21 year old with no prem experience but some youngster thrive on it while some don't.
Borrini has been having extra shooting practice!!
Anyway I'd take Ba in a heart beat!! Some people forget what position we are in
We have no CL and he could be a class act!!
