redinthehead your views are baffling.
You're now counting the people singing the chants to fuel your argument. What if I told you that over the years there have been thousands more people chanting about Munich than there have been hillsborough fact. The reason being that the Munich chanting pre dates the hillsborough incident by many years. totally off topic but those Liverpool fans who died were probably at games where Munich chants were sung.
what is on topic is that both fans who do it are as guilty as the other. the only season you and the media are demonising united fans is because hillsborough is highlighted at the moment.
in my mind no club has the right to take the high ground and the most important thing is respect is paid today. which it would have been anyway.
Heres another .... In response to Liverpool fans singing "Liverpool.. Liiiiverpool"
http://youtu.be/z9lv2wPCDX4
----
How far do I have to go into the video to hear these chants? I'm half way through and still nothing.
Too much sense there tricky, fellah wants an argument not a solution.
We can all bang on about chants, older ones (like me) will remember classics like one slippy runway and who's that dying on the runway being belted out pre hillsborough. Like you say, no point taking the moral high ground though, lets move on.
I suspect there's an element of some fans taking stick for so long about Munich they're gleefully grabbing the chance to sling some of it back.
How are they baffling?
The media highlighted what happened in the last week as its current news... That's what happened.
Apparently that chant happens at every home game, for man utd which is worrying in the least.
I was saying that Munich chants are not heard at Anfield, something corroborated by your own ex player.
There are one or two idiots at very club on accept this, but to make themselves heard to every media outlet on the planet takes a far larger group of people.
Just think about that for a second... Even when utd are not playing Liverpool, it's twisted in a demonic way.
Hence why the feeling of demonisation among the utd fan base.
Don't have a go at the media outlets, but rather at your brethren chanting the sick stuff.
those Liverpool fans who died were probably at games where Munich chants were sung
-----
That's conjecture... A bit like me saying you probably couldn't care less whether Hillsborough is referenced in any chant.
There were no Hillsborough chants or references in the 9 minute video you just posted. 9 minutes in my life I will not get back...
Santos you said when did I hear any, I told you.
"The sun was right, murderers" at the 4th round fa cup game at Anfield.
It's documented and its out there. Just because YOU say you couldn't find it doesn't mean it didn't happen does it?
When we have a utd fan saying stuff is chanted every home game, it shows a level of hatred far greater than I envisaged.

Heh? When is the last time any one of you heard a Munich chant at anfield ?
Did you read my post? It wasn't anfield but at the WBA vs Liverpool game season before last when they beat you 2-1, the whole away section were doing the airoplaine arms with the chant, children and all, and some baggies even joined in.
And I am honestly not talking a few, the whole stand were at it.
I've been to enough Utd away games to tell you this has never happend about your lot.
I've been to enough Utd away games to tell you this has never happend about your lot.

Absolute tripe.
A quick view of you tube would show you that.
I've heard things sang, I've never seen the whole section of away fans at it though.
I'm happy to admit we have our idiots, just as every club.
I'm not the one playing the victim.

OMG !! 10 seconds into this video, total morons.
Not exactly something to laugh at Grant Theft is it.
I was laughing at Carlsberg for failing to edit it out!
Busby every club has their idiots, you're right.
Munich was a terrible tragedy an accident. And is rightly treated as such, has been and always will be.
Hillsborough was a little different, where Liverpool FC and its supporters were tarnished, with having a victim mentality even though the supporters were to blame, due to outlandish reports from the most popular media outlet.
So in some quarters, especially man utd Munich = tragedy, Hillsborough = scousers fault.
That dynamic has recently been changed where Liverpool the city, is receiving some much due sympathy from the country.
Somehow this doesn't sit well with anti Liverpool sentiment which is probably what led to that chant at the Wigan game.
So what I am getting from Redinthehead's posts is that Munich chants are always done by a very small minority, one or two people in thousands but Hillsborough chants are done by the majority when it comes to Man Utd fans.
Basically Liverpool fans are blameless and the victims in all this chanting and it is Man Utd's fault rather than Liverpool's.
Liverpool fans were mocking Munich for 30 years prior to Hillsborough, then they act the victims when they're on the receiving end of sick chants and the media suddenly start crying about it.

Arab there's no need to sensationalise something that I actually didn't say.
Hopefully you aren't called upon to be an editor at any tabloid.

Apparently media outlets should be castigated for being sympathetic towards Liverpool according to Ruiney.
Doubt many share this view among the man utd faithful.
Where was the sympathy over 30 years of Munich chants?
It's never your fault.
No wonder united fans sing it when you have people like redinthehead posting like he is today.
It's actually sad you have kept at this futile argument for so long. Hardly respectful of the day to continue with this oneupmanship victim mentality.
For that reason, I am out and off to show my respect to the "football" fans who lost their lives that day.
As for your city being tarnished, only a complete idiot ever thought the victims were to blame mate. The report just revealed what we all knew. Today is symbolic because it's now official.
Redinthehead you have a very one sided view of all of this. Both United and Liverpool fans have there share of idiots mocking each others tragedy. You tend to find that the ones signing are in the tens rather than the hundreds, but every now and then it does reach the hundreds. Possibly even thousands. But on the whole, it is usually only a handful of fans that sing those sick chants.

Mixture of non acceptance that man utd fans chant about Hillsborough followed by "well I'm off to do the right thing so i must be right"
I respect you for the tribute you'll pay to the victims of both tragedies.
Bravo.

I was just pointing out the way you are acting lines up perfectly with the chants United fans were singing the other day. You are mostly absolving blame from the Liverpool fans, when it happens it is only one or two [always the victim never your fault] then accusing United fans of doing it on a much larger scale...
Basically you were making your best effort to make those chants true whilst not being about Hillsborough...
So in some quarters, especially man utd Munich = tragedy, Hillsborough = scousers fault.
Get a grip, this isn't true at all. Blame the government, media and police for lying, not Man Utd fans.
