Hillsborough Chants

Redinthehead you have a very one sided view of all of this. Both United and Liverpool fans have there share of idiots mocking each others tragedy.

----
I've said every club has idiots.

Basically no one besides red666 has cried foul for the chants in the Wigan game.

Instead opting to find excuses for it. That's shameful.

Let us hope that the words of Manchester United football club and its governors have struck a chord and we won't see or hear a repeat of it.

Right match prep.

Come on you reds (home kit obviously)

LFC fans were mocking the Munich tragedy for many years before they had their own tragedy to think about. At Heysel there were Munich 58 banners in the stands! Then, 4 years later we unfortunately had the Hillsborough tragedy. I don't condone any of these sick chants on either side, but it isn't surprising that after listening to the Munich rubbish for so many years, that some United fans took their opportunity to give a bit back. Like I say, I'm not condoning that in any way. But I am getting a bit tired of this outrage from the LFC fans where a minority of their own have been partaking in this vile behaviour for decades longer than the minority of United fans.

Absolute rubbish. There has been numerous threads about the chants at Wigan since the game and the vast majority of United fans have said it was out of order. Some accept that, whilst the song isn't specifically about Hillsborough, it probably was sung with the tragedy in mind during the Wigan match to get a reaction. Others feel that it was not about Hillsborough, but still a very stupid time to sing it considering the recent report. But what we are getting a bit tired of SOME LFC fans that seem to think that they are whiter than white. We all have our idiots and the ones from your set of fans have been singing about Munich for 30 years or more.

Only a couple of years ago, a spirit of shankley christmas party broke out into a Munich sing along, with a guy on guitar and everything.

We can all point score.
.......

What a silly comment.

Do 2 wrongs make a right in your book?

There isn't a Man Utd on this, or any threat condoning what Utd fans singing about Hillsborough or any disaster of that ilk.

For some reason Liverpool fans feel the need to ague their disaster was worse and who started what first or whatever as thought it was Utd fans who covered up the truth and pointed the finger.

It's truly pathetic.

nWo, the smiley god

So was chanting of always the victim after the match aimed at Suarez then?

posted on 23/9/12

RED666, don't you think it was aimed at the two lads doing Munich gestures? Just a thought.

The Post Nearly Man

Yup it was sang at the 2 idiots, and give this another thought, was it sung with Hillsborough in mind or Suarez?

Bearing in mind what today was all about!!!!

posted on 23/9/12

I would imagine Hillsborough, Heysel, Suarez and everything given the provocation was Munich. Your point?

posted on 23/9/12

My point is that nWo, the smiley god says the chant is all about Suarez.

and what about the Utd fans asking Liverpool fans where's your famous Munich song?

All in all the Fans did well today, but I think they let themselves down for the sake of 2 idiots.

Some Neanderthals taunted each other in an empty stadium.

If that's the worst we got we did OK. Why not be commenting on the positives?

The stadium was full when they started the where's your famous Munich song.

I wasnt being negative, I was asking nWo, the smiley god if the victim chat was solely aimed at Suraez as that is what he has been saying all day.

If you want to talk about that we can...

You used to sing a lot about Munich. Many of your fans used to refer to us as Munichs. We had songs about riding down the runway to see how many we're dead. And then a terrible event occurred that more or less stopped all that. Without that terrible event it'd still be going on. It's a dig, what do you expect? It's a way of saying we haven't forgotten.
