Anyone started a Career Mode on Fifa 14 yet?
I started one with Bayer 04, finding it pretty difficult so far, 1 Draw 2 Losses in Pre Season(World Class).
Not enjoying the Global Transfer Network either.

The menus are also really laggy, it feels like the game was made for PS4 and they haven't bothered to make it work on properly on the PS3

I feel the game is still a few months off being finished, EA need to stop giving themselves a deadline to release the game, and just release it when it's ready.

FFS. Laggy menus sounds offputting. If they are laggy then what a bunch of cretins they are, especially as they basically do exactly the same things, the team organisation is still chit. The only thing I like the idea of is changing formation with the right stick but not entirely sure how that works. They're not exactly enticing me to buy it. Any glitches yet?

Also I watched an MGH video the other day, he's already fooking looking at players' stats and potentials on futhead. Are you actually fooking kidding me? What a cretin.

I've only played about 10 games but no bugs so far.

Mug. Just makes it unrealistic. Take a gamble on players using the system. Why make it so easy for yourself, do you not want a challenge? Calfreezy will no doubt do it again when he starts a career mode. Even I know Bakkali's potential because it's every other fooking comment.

So my thoughts on the new career mode..not a fan, like I am with FIFA 14 as a whole TBH.

They've changed the menus, added GSN and that's about it, nothing's changed. The GSN thing is as annoying as I thought it'd be, clutters everything up, means I don't know the OVRs of a team I send my loanees to so don't know if they'll start, means I don't know the OVRs of the players I man mark my starting XI to so don't know who to assign where. The fact that you can only scout one league at a time. And even past all this the scouts are not thorough enough. sent them to France for promising LBs and apparently Digne was not found. Is that even more realistic? and yes i could just search Digne and tell my scout to scout him but then this surely defeats the objective of GSN.

it may be more realistic in only SOME aspects than the search, but surely if you want a more defined manager mode you just go for Football Manager? While FIFA was always a more fun, less detailed alternative. For me I don't see why they've tried to close the gap with this random novelty. In the end if I wanted a young LB I could do it at the touch of a button with the old search engine. Now if I want one it'll take weeks of scouting for the same players I would have found before!

Looking around the opinion seems to be 50/50 for or against it. In the end would it really be that bad to have an option on whether we want GSN or not when we start the career and appease both sides?

Anyway, the menus look nice but seem a bit clunky and there's a lot going on, think I'll get used to it though.

The gameplay is also too frustrating now on world class but too easy on profressional. Think I'll stick with the latter but I found world class was pretty good for competitiveness on FIFA 13. Oh well.

In other career modes I could see myself doing and have done the full 15 seasons, won't be doing that here as I'll just get too annoyed as each season passes, espiecally as it gets to around 10 seasons in so you won't even no who's out there in the world without constantly scouting. Eventually you'll just be in your own little bubble of whichever club you're managing, with only a bare insight of players who even play in the same league as you. Not how it is in real life. Really reckon this GSN thing was just a novelty they added randomly as they couldn't be bothered with anything else, it's their only 'big' feature on this career mode.

I'm hating going through all the menus and GTN because it's all laggy and broken.
So I've given up, think I'll just do a Player Career so I don't need to care about that but I don't think they've added a single new feature to it.

They've done too much with GSN. Too much change.

Started a Career Mode with PSV, and I'm actually enjoying it.
Signed Lukaku(He wasn't at Everton for some reason) on loan with a clause at the end allowing me to buy him for £10 million.
A good thing about the game is that sometimes you can get players for cheaper than their estimates, which you used to never be able to do. So I'm getting Lukaku for £2.5 million less than what Chelsea asked for him.

This game is rediculous, I've drawn 5 games in a row vs the CPU and about 80% of the goals scored have been headers.
