I am rev. Well done on winning £25 quid baz
Making you presents known is a tough tackle or two, maybe one foul, which i suppose is cheating but it happens. Not consistent fouling over a sustained period which is what Buxton was doing. It was everytime and he should have been sent off or at least told, if you do that again your off. But he wasn't, he was allowed to keep doing it over and over.
Sutton, your pathetic 'holier than thou' attitude to how Forest play their hoofball is becoming embarrassing.
By your definition, seeing as Forest have got by far the worst disciplinary record in the division, every ref you've had this season can't have been up to the job.
Keep doing it over and over? Are u on about Derby beating Forest?

You know what guys...now this'll throw the cat among the pigeons
I think in the return fixture, Forest will win by at least 3 goals - now there's a prophecy for you

No one saying Buxton didnt foul his way through the first half. Because you all know he did.
You've got love these trees.
Buxton putting a few tough challenges in, in a full-blooded derby game makes hime an outrageous cheat.
Their players harrassing and screaming at the referee every five seconds, elbowing players in the face AND putting in tackles that could easily have broken one of our players legs, is okay...
Owd sutton
Well Sutton you have convinced your self if no one else. Perhaps the ref couldn't see what was happening because Andy Reid was always standing in front of him trying to get Derby players sent off.
Many of you are in denial at the moment. You were convinced that this expensively assembled team was good enough to beat us and when it didn't happen you look for excuses. Perhaps the team and players signed aren't as good as you imagine them to be.
Sutton thinks Buxton is a cheat. Buxton is playing the game. If the ref thinks he has committed a foul, he gives a foul. Buxton isn't trying to hoodwink the ref or influence him in nefarious fashion.
Forest players, particularly Reid and Blackstock, but also others, surround the ref at every opportunity, trying to make him get his cards out, rather than allowing him to do his job. They also roll around wailing on the floor when tackled, then miraculously recover quickly to resume a full prt in the game - even the Sky commentators observed that Forest players were "milking" every imagined foul.
But maybe this isn't cheating. Maybe they are just trying to be helpful to the referee.
Well Sutton you have convinced your self if no one else.
_____
Funny that because there seemed to be quite a few neutrals on twitter on forums and in the papers were saying the same sort of things I am.
-------

--------
Because they kept getting fouled and the ref was doing nothing. Fair enough you shouldn't surround the ref. but they wouldn't if he'd have done is job.
Perhaps the team and players signed aren't as good as you imagine them to be.
______
Very possible. Not sure what that's got to do with cheating.
Next question.
If poor ickle Forest are so innocent, why have they got such a dreadful disciplinary record, and why have Derby got such a good one?
Just been through the stats for the match - Jake Buxton was booked for his third foul, and committed one more in the game. All were in the first half hour.
He was also fouled twice.
Not that it means anything. I really can't be bothered to work out which other players committed an excessive number of fouls.
I did, however, check how many fouls Blackstock committed in the match at PPS last season (where you will remember it was the same scoreline as far as goals AND players on the pitch for Forest).
Blackstock committed SIX fouls that day including the assault on Ben Davies for which he was (eventually) booked after the melee.
I think the operative word is PAYBACK.
Just noticed the slight name change there backo

Pablo Mardy Barstewards eh?
Lets face it Sutton, as you dogs love pointing out about our lower league players of which Buxton is one that they are graced with an over abundance of skills, but what he is is a tryer and a passion to go for every ball, good on him, for seasons ive been crying out for a few like him, we have that now but we also have a blend of skilful players to marry that, if your players had spent less time badgering the Ref on nearly every decision you might have even made a game of it, Jake promised the Derby faithful a victory and duly delivered.
If you want to talk about cheating, what about in the same fixture last season. Miller bursts through and flicks the ball into the corner of the net with the outside of his boot. The ball is cleared so Miller runs into Fielding and claims a penalty. Reid, Greening and Cohen surround the ref appealing for Fielding to be sent off even though he was totally innocent. Just as well the gods of football justice acted to prevent Forest benefiting from their disgusting behaviour.
He was also fouled twice.
Did you also see where lansbury tried to take him out after he had cleared it near the touchline. Lansbury looked at him as if to say "did you feel that" Buxton just got up and carried on.

Exactly as many neutrals tweeted at the time, as I recall.

We're all getting off topic. I'm not talking about last seasons games or any other games for that matter. I've said we lost those games because we weren't as good as Derby.
I'm talking about what a saw on Sunday. But I've said my bit. So I'm off.
Bye
Blackstock didn't deserve to get sent off. It definitely changed the game which we were definitely having the better of but without any penetration and creating any chances. We lost, the bragging rights belong to Derby again, move on.
