Green would worry me if i was a bear.

He looks like the kind of guy who would shoot a bear in the back when hunting.

Im glad im not a bear.

If i was a rangers fan i'd be worried as well though tbh, he thought he was gettin money from players moving on buy he hasnt, so how does he fill that gap?

Who is in this consortium?

His trip to ireland and comments about bringing out orange strips etc sound like he is telling people only what they want to hear to drum up support.

He would make me nervous tbh

Keny Charlie has already came out and said that orange strips are a no go! he only said that at first out of nievity but then with more discussions with his advisors he realised the significance of an orange strip at Rangers! Shame orange is my favourite colour as well

Read the article, and any kudos it had fell apart when I read " This requires a manager with experience and relationships well beyond Western Europe".

Yes.

Because all the truly great managers of our time have come from the Americas, Asia, the Middle East & Australasia.

Maybe he should concentrate on his franchised rounders and mickey mouse fake rugby matches....

And making comments based on pre newco, pre cva figures makes the entire article pretty much nonsense that anyone could have come up with.

I dont think hes a clued up as he likes to think he is.

Also needs to understand that "ally agrees with me" doesnt mean either of them are right

Excellent article recounting the demise of Ragers FC.

The challenge then for Green is how to move forward against the background and figures that the article reveals. This is a huge challenge and the author is really not at all confident that this actually can be done!

However, my main reaction on reading this was to remind me about what a wonderful job Peter Lawwell and the Celtic Board have done in leading Celtic through these difficult times.

I would love to see a similar analysis from Forbes on Celtic.

Is that the one with the bloated old tortoise analogy?

Curly / cooper

I agree with that tbh, particularly scottish managers

Anyone notice that the recomendations are practically the model Celtic have been run by for the last 5 years

"analysis from Forbes" - it was no such thing. it was an article written by someone who was involved with a group who tried to buy the club but failed.

Oh dear the dozy bears are still asleep.

He intimates that Rangers need to look for quality outwith the overpriced and over 'fished' areas of western Europe and look further afield into emerging markets.

Cooper?

Did it fail or did they pull out? I thought they withdrew which changes things.

Bears never discuss the content in the cupboard but only the cupboard itself.

No they havent and think he puts that across badly. The Celtic scouting system definetliy looks outwith Europe though

Mordor - what maybe like the USA, where he represents a whole bunch of up & coming players???

His entire analysis is based around an entirely different system - that of the franchise system of the majority of sports clubs in the USA, added to massive TV deals.

It is the problem when Americans trot up with little knowledge of football & try to change it so they can understand it.

Keny - from what I saw, Miller's "bid" was speculative at best, and with hindsight being 20/20 vision, I am extremely glad we did not go with it.

No it doesnt.

It states "This requires a manager with experience and relationships well beyond Western Europe"

It is spot on.

Any manager of celtic and Rangers must look to outwith Engalnd, France, Spain and Italy to get the next big players.

It has NOTHING to do with where the manager is from...

++++

Nope, never noticed that Celtic have been employing non western european managers for the last five years

Saying that, Mowbry and Lennon do resemble aliens

Tafka - "This requires a manager with experience and relationships well beyond Western Europe".

A manager with experience beyond Western Europe - why would they come to Scotland?

A manager with relationships beyond Western Europe - why would they come to Scotland?

Strange that a guy from USA is saying that non European methods have to be used for the "good of the game" yet in the USA who do they bring in? Yep, Europeans.
