Didn't realise quite how much (and the size o the objects) thrown at the players. Something seriously needs soon about that.
All the managers are sticking up for the official too, it all depends what was said I suppose, providing it was along the lines of 'shut up' with an expletive or two thrown in, I say it's about time they took control of games and ore-madonna pansies that we call footballers.

Kagawality ALWAYS bites
bites to what?
what a useless comment mate, this is an article and i am commenting on it.
if no one comments on articles then this site doesnt exist
grow up - is writing "bites" and posting stupid smileys about as intelligent as arsenal fans get? wait dont answer that
"you need to get out more? and i dont mean to stamford bridge where fans like you injure your own stewards"
Fans like me? That's an incredible accusation to make, lol. So now I'm responsible for injuring that steward when I was 300 miles away watching the game on tv.

you have my sincerest apologies
I don't even know why these "holier than thou" fan debates start in the first place. Every team has it's own set of idiotic fans.
If there is no racial connotations involved, it's probably just anoher modern day footballer that can give it out but not take it back.
Back in the day, the best refs told winging players to fkking get on with it and give the players a bit of grief back.
If Valencia's 'dive had happened first, then Torres' dive and the finally the studs on Cleverley, no one would be moaning about the sending off. How could they!
Truth is all I have heard today is that Torres was sent off for diving/simulation. He was not. He was booked for it, just like Valencia was
Regardless, he was booked for something that was not provable as simulation.
If there is contact with a player before the ball, is that not a textbook foul?
It's going to get to the point where a player will be booked, and potentially sent off, for making out an injury was more painful than it actually was. It's going to get silly!

So they should
It's patheic cheating
It's pathetic cheating
It is no different to every player claiming a throw or corner when they know it isn't theirs
It will destroy the game.

Sort of agree... but pretending to be injured to get another player punished is probably worse tbf
All cheating though
It's impossible to prove though. If a player gets clipped by another player and goes down seemingly in pain, how on earth can we tell whether the suffering is real or not? Or at least as bad as he's making out?
We won't need refs soon, we'll need psychics.

probably can't in all cases but Suarez going down holding his head as though he'd been hit by a sledgehammer when Rio brushed him was blatant imjury faking that should be punished
Punish the certain ones and alot of it will be eradictaed
I think there's other ways of dealing with it rather than punishing the whole team though; which is what happens if the said player gets sent off. And it ruins good spectacles of games... Yesterday, case in point.
Punish them within the club circles. Fine them, make them play in the reserves for a few weeks. The culture of simulation has to be curbed by the clubs first.

--------------------
Nobody was sent off for diving yesterday.
In the Chelsea United game, 2 players were booked for it. One United player and one Chelsea player
Okay, be pedantic if you like but it doesn't change the fact that apparent simulation was the ultimate cause of the sending off. And if it can lead to red cards and influence games, like it did yesterday, then it should be taken very seriously.
I rarely agree with Stretty but he's got it spot on here.
If these accusations are unfounded then Chelsea need to be punished severely. They've done this before and the ref got death threats and had to retire so the FA need to wield the big stick here.
Clattenburg is no fool and knew he was miked up and would have never uttered a racist epiphet over an open mike. That's career suicide.
However it won't be the first time Chelsea players have lied about abuse
Simulation is all down to interpretation and Clattenburg obviously hadn't left his preconceptions on Torres at home when he left for work in the morning.
Very similar in terms of theatrics to the Young/Ivanovic incident. Young flailing a leg trying to find contact. Ivanvovic was given a straight red, Evans wasn't.
Clattenburg saw himself as some sort of bringer of justice and got it horribly wrong, these sort of decisions cannot be made in an instant and he went out on a limb trying to be the hero. Video refereeing needs to happen on these big decisions, as with the winning "goal"
Having looked at the Young incident again a few times I can't see any contact, can you?
