" if brendan does worse than kenny should he stay."

Kenny should have been given more time.

So should Rodgers as he builds his side.

No more sacking, give it time.

You keep whispering it but you never seem to give any reasons for it.

Have a look at the league table and see if you can work it out for yourself. If not, count how many strikers we have in our thin squad and see if you can pick up any clues there.

So Brendan is blamed for not getting a striker, yet you blamed the owners for it for months?

Make up your mind.

Did the owners get rid of Carroll? Was that not a mistake? I've seen you say many times it was?

posted on 6/11/12

It was a mistake, as was not getting a striker in. Brendan only says that he wants a player in and will like Carroll to go out, he doesn't actually make it happen, it's not Football Manager.

so we have a very thin squad with no strikers and we're not scoring many goals and not winning many matches. But its nothing to do with BR or the owners?

Who is responsible for all this TOOR? They need to get their act together.

posted on 6/11/12

BR's done nothing wrong as such, he's just not a very experienced manager. Hopefully the owners will give him the time to grow into the job but I have my doubts whether their shareholders will share that long-term view if we finish mid table and their pockets arent being lined. We finished in the top 10 last season, reached 2 cup finals and The Europa League last season and that wasn't enough for them.

I believe they share responsibility. Rodgers for deciding Carroll should go on loan. Rodgers for thinking an attacking midfielder is an adequate replacement for him. The owners for not having a problem scouting team in place after Comolli was sacked. All mistakes have been admitted to, mistakes happen, then are learned from, it doesn't mean the world ends and everybody are the wrong people for their jobs.

Continued mistakes mean replacements need to happen, like Dalglish's continued mistakes last season.

I've already said, if we sign Hooper, I'll wear the same socks for a week, then eat them. He's crap, there's no way we'd be interested in him.

You'd better get ya salt n'pepper ready then chief, cos that standard of player is more likely to be coming in.
You can forget walcott and sturridge etc with their wage demands and probs huntelaar too.

posted on 6/11/12

Walcott and Sturridge wouldn't solve the problem we have anyhow. It's a striker we need.

posted on 6/11/12

Who do you suggest then if you were in charge, honestly?

posted on 6/11/12

I think Huntelaar would be a great choice. Whether or not he'd come to us is a different matter. For a more long term choice we should wait until the summer when there's more value and hopefully we have a better position to barter from.

posted on 6/11/12

So you think we can get to the end of the season without a goalscorer?
Huntelaar won't be sanctioned by FSG no way.
This is why i'm baffled about the direction we're taking,it's obvious to everyone, including the manager we need outstanding quality upfront to climb the table.
If we don't finish high enough, nobody will be interested given we don't want to give out good wages.

So back to square one again.

No, in fact I think the opposite and have stated as much over and over and over.

"Huntelaar won't be sanctioned by FSG no way."

Huh, when have they indicated that?

When KHJ was mentioned as a possible target on deadline day,BR gave a categorical "Definately not" to that one, what will have changed in six months to think anything will have changed?
We seem hamstrung by FSG's stance's and policies on recruitment, and we just seem to be going around in a vicious circle.
I mentioned a few days ago, that although money is suppose to be available in january,it's probably not what some are hoping for,and i have a gut feeling it's going to be hooper and the finnish kid for a rough total of around £10/11/12m

Can you provide the proof for that?

"We seem hamstrung by FSG's stance's and policies on recruitment, and we just seem to be going around in a vicious circle."

In what way, explain your crap, don't just spew it.

Your gut feeling doesn't count for much if your comments on here are anything to go by.

But like i said, give me the flack i'm supposedly due on the 31st.
