people say the same about cleverley

posted on 11/11/12

The difference being that Cleverley has had games that easily disprove the doubters. While he probably needs more time to adapt to the European game, he has performed well in the league. What has Jenkinson ever done apart from score own goals and get sent off? I'm not WUMming, I just don't rate him. At all.

You clearly haven't seen Jenkinson this season. He is England's future right-back no doubt about that

Rubbish! Kyle Walker is a country mile ahead of him. If we have to resort to Jenkinson then we are in trouble. And yes I have seen plenty of Jenkinson this season, your worst start to a season in how many years?

Your wum is bad

And you should feel bad

Walker has been rubbish this year

Cleverly pants for England

A lot of hype around players year after year. Usually ends up forgotten. Much like the players.

Not a wum at all. My main point was the fact that we are playing Sweden again, something we will learn absolutely nothing from.

I wouldn't say Cleverley has been pants for England. He hasn't set the world on fire but he has been decent and I think he could form a good partnership with Wilshere.

You are obviously watching highlights of last seasons start because jenkinson has been one of our best players this year

Glad someone sees what I see

Jenkinson has been our most consistent player without a doubt. You clearly haven't watched him at all this season, has been head and shoulders above all other English right backs since the season started.

Yes, in a start to a season that has been your worst in quite a few years... so everyone is under performing. You won't convince me that he is a good player.

You can ask the sensible spurs fans, who's been better this year, Jenkinson or Walker. They will say Jenkinson.

I suggest you actually watch the players you criticise, you sound a little silly here.

Although I agree with you on the fixture issue.

When Jenkinson was in the team we had the best defence in the league. Now sagna is in it and he isnt we have lost that title

I have watched Jenkinson this season, and I don't rate him. Although saying that he is still head and shoulders above Santos, who looks like someone who has wandered on to a football pitch by mistake and is running around trying to look for a way out of the stadium.

Have you watched Walker?

posted on 11/11/12

Yes... Bit suspect defensively but great going forward.

Rooney went off after 79 minutes of Manchester United's 3-2 win over Aston Villa, while Walcott injured his buttock muscles in the first half of Arsenal's 3-3 draw with Fulham and was replaced with six minutes of the game remaining.

Jesus where have you been living. we're in 2012 not 2011.

Jenkinson has been excellent while walker has been dire

Well he's contributing to more goals against than he is towards goals for. But maybe we look for different things in a right back. I can't really recall Jenkinson making any glaring errors. He has a couple of assists too.

How is this relevant exactly? The teams performance has little bearing on how good he's been for us this season.

You've (claimed to have) watched him, yet you can't accept that he's been very impressive this season, and comfortable ahead of the horribly overrated Walker. Strange.

Johnson is still number 1. He's been our best player both offensively and defensively this season.

"Bit suspect defensively but great going forward"

that's how buttock muscles get injured

This is just my opinion. I don't rate Jenkinson, even after seeing him this season. He is not good enough for England, no matter how much you Arsenal fans say he has been playing well.
