100% spot on, he was a fackin idiot, there was no need for it
yeah it was a red and ade is a facking idiot for doing it.
Clear red in this day and age. He didn't keep his emotions in check at all, and it was a huge mistake for AVB to play him in this game.
it wasnt a mistake for AVB to play him ! he is our best striker and its up to him to keep his emotions in check. he is a senior pro ffs
hes a senior priick Chronic
agree chron...total lack of professionalism....
a manager has every right to expect a player to keep his emotions in check as a given....
Cazorla kicked Ade's foot
Fair dos - a conclusive answer!
It ws a clear red, but had it been Gerrard or Rooney would have just been a ticking off.
Ah yes - the old 'make something up and state is as a fact' comment.
We like those.
ok, let me rephrase. You're right, the blame cannot be laid with the manager for one player's lack of professionalism, however Adebayor has history with Arsenal and the manager should have assessed whether or not he was in the right frame of mind to play this game.
He clearly wasn't as it turns out
Straight red, no doubt. Stupid challenge which cost us probably at least a point.
No blame can be attached to AVB for it, and if anybody will blame him for something I will!
Absolutely yes it was a red card. I think it was bad enough that even being the away team made no difference.
Always been the problem with Adebayor - he's a good player, deadly on his day, but he's also an absolute moron. I wouldn't go so far as to say you were controlling the game, but it was very fragmented and the sending off was pivotal.
On AVB - it's not his fault Adebyor is a complete idiot. Nor should he be castigated for his substitutions at half time, which were excellent in my opinion.
He did, however, make one glaring error, and that was playing Naughton, who, as far as I can tell from the few times I have watched him, is awful, and Walcott tears him apart every time he plays him. He never should have started in a million years - almost all our attacks came from down that side.
if caulker wasnt injured then naughton wouldnt have played....
international football facks us again.

switching to 3 at the back was either going to be a masterstroke or Spurs' undoing. Fortunately we were able to use our width to take advantage of that though, but at least it was a positive move trying to fight your way back into the game.
Arry's substitutions last year in the other 5-2 were laughable though

Yellow. Rash,mis-timed but yellow. The theatrics didn't help matters.
Jimmy - last time I looked a two footed, studs up, high, late tackle was a red card.
Bet you any money you like it won't be appealed and if it does, it won't get overturned.

Arry would never of gone with 3 at the back. He would of just tried to make sure we wouldn't concede anymore and go with 6 at the back
-----------------------------------
On the contrary it's exactly what we did at Stoke last season when we went down to ten men and were chasing a goal.
He probably wouldn't have done it Saturday though, agreed, although I doubt he'd have stayed one up front losing at home to Wigan so it's swings and roundabouts
