Brilliant!!!

I can assure you he isn't.

And I go more often than not

I'm sure you've analysed Davies on Excel...

I have!!!

I sure have.

Produced a three page statistical analysis. When I've finished Messi's, I'll publish my findings.

Can't wait...

And the quickest most efficient way to Brighton via a Burger King is.................

You don't need stats to prove one way or the other.
You can nail a traffic bollard to the penalty spot and it will score 3 goals a season just with deflections. Doesn't mean it's a footballer.
It probably a better dribbler than SKD but that being said.

Use yer eyes to determine who can play not stats.

Preston -> M6 -> Charnock Richard Services

Damm!!!!

This thread is similar to the Sordell one...

There's clearly little to say right now, since we got rid of that incompetent ex manager..

Petrov, largehat.

I'm frankly fed up of this debate now.
---------

All I've done is respond to your points in a constructive and respectful manner. Do you get fed up whenever anybody disagrees with you?

If you can't hack people disagreeing with you, why post on a site with the tagline 'comment - create - debate'?

And then having declared you're fed up, continue commenting and debating. I'm just a bit confused, I don't know why you're lumping me together with Petrov anyway, I thought we were having a decent discussion. I just don't think the stats you posted prove your point and have explained why.

Largehat.

Chill out mate. My biggest gripe - if you'd cared to paste the rest of my comment, was that I'd become a bit fed up with Petrovs continuos comments about KD being older than N'Gog without making more of a debate about it.

I was quite happy to debate with you, but we've done it all before. I've made my points already and can't really expand on it.

My aim was to simply address you both in my comment, rather than doing one each.

OK fair enough man.

LH, Not allowed to go into detail, but I'll put it this way....he does things which mean he generally isn't liked in the industry or by team mates.

My point will always be this:

It doesn't matter if KD has scored 5 in 18 etc, we have performed poorly, aesthetically and points wise for 18 months with him. Without him, it appears to be the opposite. By no stretch is it incredible form, but generally it's an improvement. I think we are being held back an not reaching our potential, I think although Ngog is raw, nowhere near complete, he is a better option as he offers more to the team, and aesthetically and points wise, we perform better with him than without him.

KD may have done this and that, but I will stand by my comments that we are limiting our full potential of our squad with him in the side.

Sorry, meant to comment to CEF.

HHS, I didn't expect you to expand to be honest.

I am in total agreement with all your other points.

if we had viable options then kevin davies would not be playing.unfortunately we have not so he has to play for now rotating selection wise with ngog.i must say there has been a lot of disrespect shown to a bolton wanderers legend on here.in 10 years time he will be remembered as a legend just in the way mcginlay, walker, coyle, anelka, blake are now whilst the likes of ngog and sordell will be forgotten.my lift to brighton is in 5 min so have a good weekend everyone and be nice to each other and have a good match debate later.

TRR, From your previous posts, it's quite obvious that you think that KD, is the problem in the team so there's no point in trying to say otherwise.

As far as your stats proving that the team do better when Ngog plays, That might be the case but what it doesn't prove, is that he is the reason for the team playing better. Correct me if I' wrong but hasn't he scored just two goals this season?

posted on 24/11/12

Yes SWIE, that is exactly what I'm saying.

Fair point that it doesn't prove N'Gog is the reason. It could be any of the players, however, yet again, I'll say that is suggests that the people that think N'Gog hasn't taken his chances are wrong.

He benefits the team SWIE. Yes he might not score as many as KD, but he benefits the team. The team is all that matters because it's the team that eye promoted or relegated and the players play as a team, not individuals.

It's about time that you realised this is no vendetta, it's not disrespectful. It's an example of a tough and correct call, IMO, for a manger to make.

I have to say that for my money KD has been past his best for quite a while and that we really should have dropped him to the bench at the start of last season. He's a true Bolton Legend and I bow to no one in my respect for his accomplishments but the fact is that they shouldn't be enough to keep him playing when he is so clearly past his prime now.

As an impact sub, brought on if a change is needed I think he'd be far more beneficial and we'd see much better performances from him.

I know many of us believe he is still the best, that he is indispensable but my opinion is that's a very dangerous and even deluded stance now. We cannot move forward with Super Kev starting every game. I don't rate him as a captain and never have but that's purely because I don't think he's a vocal enough or inspiring leader like Kevin Nolan was.

I love the man personally, admire everything he's done for the club and would love to see him coaching here but I honestly think his time as a player is up and has been for a while. If we're going to get back to the top flight, if we're even going to challenge for promotion then he and a few others need to be taken out of the starting line up and replaced with fresher, faster, younger legs. I like N'gog, think with time he could be as big an asset as Kevin himself was but he needs a partner up front with pace and an eye for goal. Kevin has the latter but not the former and I wonder how many points and chances have gone begging because he simply can't get there anymore.

Totally agree LPP and someone who gives SKD the respect he deserves.

What's all this respect rubbish...?

Kevin Davies has been paid millions by Bolton Wanderers and has got a fabulous lifestyle. The comments on here are 'On Here' and not made to Kevin himself...

Lets stop this precious rubbish about respect. The guy has been paid for doing outstanding work over the years.. That's done... He's been rewarded.

Fine, don't insult the man to his face, but it's a website for debating... If a man writes 'dump him, past it' is that any different to 'phase him out quickly the little love'...

It's words... He's not listening.... Chill!

Just my opinion that's all.

I guess mines a semi dig at society in general and how easy people are precious and offended these days...

Give me a million quid and call my mum!!!!!

Totally agree with the pampered footballer thing and SKD has had a life only I can dream of for playing football. In the grand scheme of things he has for me in my opinion offered more to the club than the average footballer. Loyalty to the club and presence in the community is that bit more that for me gains him my respect.
