erm....lineker tweeted it will be shown and discussed on motd.
There is an inherent racism in the British media - I remember there also being a massive focus when Didier Drogba used to dive too, and yet players like Bale and Welbeck dive without sufficient reprimand. However, at least Drogba's abilities were admired, whereas when Suarez scores it's always a case of 'yeah, but...' That I can't explain.
Who cares, players have been getting away with it for years. Gerrard, Owen, Rooney. There was at least 2 in the West Ham game today. I'm all for stopping it - but like kicking out racism, it won't happen.
It would stop if retrospective punishments were introduced.
that may well be the case....but is that bales fault...
and suarez was booked for deliberate handball today..was he not....
let me guess...if that gets talked about...he'll be getting victimised......
Bale's diving is embarassing and he rightly gets criticised for it.
But people don't just have a go at Suarez for diving. He is a vile little who, not only dives, but goes in to hurt players as well. Bale never does this.
Examples of Suarez doing this:
Parker last year - kick him in the chest
Jones - the Wigan player earlier this season
There are plenty more that i have not mentioned
Martin Samuel is the biggest hypocrite around. I mean this guy used to work for NOW fir god sake and when he talks about moral and integrity etc it just makes me laugh. I just hate this guy from heart and probably the biggest anti Liverpool journo(?) out there.

How do you know Suarez went in to hurt Jones? I think this is the latest accusation yo be bandied around without any proof. Nothing was mentioned in the press, or by pundits, about the evil nasty Suarez trying to intentionally injure Jones.
We can all argue as much as we want. Have Suarez or Bale won a free kick or penalty that was scored this season through diving? I don't think they have. Have they been carded for diving. Yes I think they have.
It would stop if retrospective punishments were introduced.
-------------
No need for retroactive punishment. On the last two occasions Bale was punished during the game. If refs continue to hand out yellows for dives then it should deter most people.
I'll have to 'take a Wenger' on this as I haven't seen it yet.
from where i was it looked like he got caught, will hold judgement till i see it tonight
Wasn't a dive. I did think it was at the time, but he blatantly took a hit on his ankle. After his treatment on it, I don't blame him going down tbh.
Serial divers should be banned for 3 games..Gareth Bale - a shame to football.
red man
obviously i cannot prove the stamp on Jones was intentional. However, imo it's happened to often to be a coincidence
hi maf
good result for west ham today...

Harsh yellow but Ott fall . He doesn't get away with it he gets booked. He dives but he's not an ear biting racist, which helps his reputation.
Shouldn't Bale have been sent off today? Bale was given the yellow card but then he sarcastically claps the ref's decision. It's a silly rule but a cautionable offence according to the rules.

Defoe?
Name me one occasion when he 'got away with it'....... He's been yellow carded for every dive this season, and every Spurs fan agrees with it. WUM FAIL
Tottenham Dog, I think you miss the point of the OP. He's asking why he gets away with the negative media coverage in comparison to the media coverage of someone like Suarez, not that he got away with the yellow card. POST FAIL
