Bale is a disgrace with his diving, much worse than Suarez and does it much more. then completely denies it after the game and pretends there was contract every time
8bit.................................BBC MOTD have shown that on both occasions this week Bale was caught by the tackling player.
By the way referees what is he supposed to do with his trailing leg? Pick it up & tuck it under his arm?
Genius
Sorry lad but there's no way the dive against Liverpool was a foul. Bale left a leg trailing, a bit of a trademark of his, with the intention of being caught.
he's clever with his diving and just because there's a bit of contact doesn't mean it's not a dive.
red-man - but that's exactly why it's difficult to call a dive. Is he supposed to hurdle the tackle? If the tackler didn't have his leg there in the first place, Bale's trailing leg wouldn't have anything to catch.
Bale goes down too easily, and he (as MOTD) pointed out, gives it too much of the dramatics.
What would help is if, when he's fouled but rides the tackle and play goes on, the ref then comes back and books the tackler. It does happen, but not often enough.
I do not like Bale's over the top stuff anymore than anyone else, however I still maintain the if a player is too quick for others & they connect with his trailing leg then it is a foul, simple as that.
Bale can do little else with his trailing leg & its only his theatrical flying that takes the emphasis away from the tackle & makes him look silly.
red_man23...................................Thanks, its a long time since I was called a lad!
Comfortably Numb & Genius
But that's just it. Agger went in for the tackle. Bale did well to knock the ball past him. He could have stayed up and ridden the tackle. But for me he realised he'd knocked it too far and used his trailing leg to look for contact. If you look at it again its Bale's leg that makes contact with Agger, not the other way round.
Genius, no offence meant in calling you lad. Just force of habit .
Bale, received his two recent yellows for "simulation". Contact does not come into this, the rules are very clear, even if there is contact going down in such a way as to gain advantage by deception is a bookable offence.

Bale does down when he doesn't need to and when there's no foul = dive = yellow card
It could be a foul, that would earn Bale a free kick, but if the referee decided Bale was overreacting to try to get the tackling player booked he himself could still receive a yellow.

Santa
So why does he stay down and flap about like a dying fish?

It wasnt a dive, it was a blatant foul as was the one on Wednesday.... Bale is being singled out by simpleton referees.
Real divers manage to fall over without contact from a standing start, not when running at full speed..... just like dirty Suarez.

Ahem Bale's dive against Villa. Or did the princess think Guzan might injure him from 5 yards away?
Bale always leaves his trailing leg to make sure it looks like a tackle. Glad all the refs are properly marked him. One more dive then he is an embarrassment to British football.
Ricky Villas
His trailing leg went towards Aggers, on Weds, looking for contact?
He's getting fouled but it's the dramatic arms-spread-legs-flailing-ready-for-landing that makes it look like a dive. He needs to cut it out.
I fail to understand how players think to exaggerate their falls or dive, whenever I've played football I always anticipate being too quick or skilful to be tackled, so when I do get caught its a genuine shock and have no time to add the dramatics to my fall
Lets be clear though, Suarez DOES dive too, so Brenda needs to stop whingeing about not winning penalties and more about actually scoring. Gerrard isn't exactly against the odd swan dive either

By practice you can do that, can you not?
Yeah I'm watching goals on Sunday.... That's a load of rubbish! You can't be a professional footballer and play with the fear of injury in the back of your mind! Nobody would ever go into 50/50's because they might get hurt. When players buy fast cars and get done for speeding they don't seem to be worried about injury or death then do they?
