Newcastle don't care how much they spend. They have an owner who can pump in hundreds of billions if they wanted to.

It may be obscene but it is reality.

People cut back on video streaming services in their droves last year as the cost of living rose sharply.

Analysts Kantar said the total number of paid-for video streaming subscriptions in the UK fell by about two million, from 30.5m to 28.5m.

Demand had picked up again at Christmas, Kantar said, but people were "quickly looking to cut back again".

Inflation, the rate at which prices rise, is at its highest level for about 40 years, hitting people's finances.

"Brits love of streaming remains as strong as ever, but the effect of high inflation meant consumers were forced to make difficult choices to balances their finances ," said Dominic Sunnebo , Kantar's global director of entertainment on demand.

"That financial pressure increasingly meant cutting back on video streaming subscriptions, particularly where households often had three or more different services in the same household."

If I were to ask you what iconic line Chester Cheetah, the mascot for Cheetos, says in all commercials, what would you say? _____ easy being cheesy. Most people would immediately agree the saying is "It ain't easy being cheesy", as that is what gets put on shirts, pins, mugs, gets refrenced in cartoons and tv shows, etc. But actually, the saying goes "It's not easy being cheesy".

Britain faces being the only G7 economy going into reverse this year, with even Russia faring better.

The IMF forecasts that GDP will shrink 0.6 per cent in 2023 - much worse than the 0.3 per cent growth it had previously pencilled in.

No other member of the group of developed economies is expected to go into the red - with even sanctions-hit Russia set to record 0.3 per cent expansion.

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt and ministers swiped that the grim forecasts had been wrong before. The UK is thought to have had the fastest growth in the G7 last year at 4.1 per cent, following the miserable Covid slump.

However, Mr Hunt is having to fend off gathering Tory demands for tax cuts and a growth plan to get the economy back on its feet.

Mr Hunt and Rishi Sunak have poured cold water on the prospect of reducing the burden - the highest in a generation - at the Budget in March, warning that inflation must come under control first.

Plastic wrap is out of the question — in fact, wrapping cheese in plastic wrap will only make it go bad faster. Instead, opt for parchment paper or wax paper, which will allow the cheese to breathe and prevent additional moisture.

Kenny Shiels has left his role as manager of Northern Ireland women's team.

Shiels took over in May 2019 and led the team to last summer's European Championship finals in England, their first major tournament.

However, the former Kilmarnock and Derry City boss was unable to secure qualification for this year's World Cup.

"I have enjoyed my time as senior women's manager immensely," he said.

"I have worked hard with the players to raise their expectations and change their style of play so that we were a team to be reckoned with.

"This success has generated record attendance figures at senior women's games and I was delighted to see so many of the Green and White Army travel to England to cheer us on last summer at the Euros.

"I want to thank everyone who has backed me, and the team, during my time as manager."

In August, Shiels had reiterated his desire to continue in his role when asked if he could see himself in charge for the upcoming Euro 2025 qualifying campaign.

"Kenny's impact on the women's and girls' game in Northern Ireland has been transformative," said IFA CEO Patrick Nelson.

"Securing that historic qualification to the Euros is forever etched in Irish FA history. We thank Kenny for his contribution to this and the success of the senior women's team in recent years."

In addition to the widespread replication of cheddaring and scalding, cheddar's march around the globe was further helped by two things, starting with emigration. As Brits moved to other parts of the world, they took English cheesemaking traditions with them. Many of these places – such as the US, Canada and Australia – are where cheddar continues to be wildly popular today.
