The official said the net was also being put up to protect a nearby dental practice, which was suffering from visitors parking in its spaces without permission and even climbing on the building's roof to clinch the best picture.

Japan is currently enjoying a tourism boom following the lifting of post-pandemic travel restrictions and a push by the government to attract more foreign visitors. For the first time ever in March, visitor numbers to the nation of islands passed three million.

However, soaring numbers of tourists have caused some issues.

Congestion on Mount Fuji caused by climbers means that from this summer hikers will have to pay a $13 (£10) charge as authorities try to limit the numbers scaling to the summit.

The congestion on the route up Japan's highest mountain was leading to increasing injuries and rubbish littering the trail - not to mention inappropriately dressed hikers - officials said.

Numbers of people hiking up the Yoshida Trail will also be capped at 4,000 people a day. They will also not be allowed to set off between 16:00 and 02:00 - part of a bid to stop so-called "bullet climbs", when people try to scale the 3,776-metre (12,388-foot) summit without breaks.

While in Kyoto in 2019, officials started handing out leaflets and paper lanterns in an attempt to remind tourists how to behave in its historic Gion quarter.

Sheffield United's relegation from the Premier League was confirmed as Newcastle recovered from a sluggish start to thrash Chris Wilder's side at St James' Park.

Anel Ahmedhodzic gave the visitors a deserved early lead, nodding home Gustavo Hamer's inswinging cross from close range.

The Blades carved out several opportunities to double their advantage as Newcastle struggled to gain a grip on proceedings, but the home side were level when Alexander Isak drilled home from Jacob Murphy's pass in the 26th minute.

Ben Brereton Diaz had a goal-bound shot blocked by Dan Burn and Mason Holgate headed against the woodwork on the half-hour mark, but the visitors fell behind early in the second half when Bruno Guimaraes steered Lewis Hall's delivery into the far corner.

Isak registered his 23rd goal of the season from the penalty spot after Anthony Gordon was brought down by Holgate, before the unfortunate Ben Osborn bundled into his own net for Newcastle's fourth.

Callum Wilson came off the bench for the hosts to score his first top-flight goal since October.

Sheffield United were awarded a late penalty, but the decision was overturned by the video assistant referee who ruled Magpies substitute Alex Murphy had won the ball in a challenge with Jayden Bogle.

The defeat leaves the Blades 10 points adrift of safety with only three games remaining, while Newcastle stay seventh and are well placed to secure a spot in Europe next season.

England sealed a third consecutive Six Nations Grand Slam and sixth straight title with a clinical victory over 14-player France in Bordeaux.

The Red Roses extended their championship winning record to 29 games, as John Mitchell's ruthless side struck five first-half tries before Assia Khalfaoui's second-half red card.

England, undaunted by vocal home support, started fast through tries from forwards Maud Muir and Alex Matthews before Gabrielle Vernier responded.

Centre Megan Jones grabbed an intercept try to restore England's 14-point advantage, with Marine Menager then scoring to keep France in touch.

But tries from Marlie Packer and Amy Cokayne pulled Mitchell's side clear before Khalfaoui saw her dangerous ruck clearout upgraded to a red card by the television match official 'bunker' system.

Despite being a player down for the majority of the second half Menager crossed for her second try, but Matthews made sure there was to be no famous comeback with her second score.

It also secures Mitchell's first championship in charge of the Red Roses, while he remains undefeated since taking charge last autumn.

World Central Kitchen is to resume distributing food in Gaza, nearly a month after seven of its aid workers were killed in an Israeli air strike.

The aid organisation said it has 276 trucks with eight million meals ready to enter through the Rafah crossing.

"Ultimately, we decided we must keep feeding," the charity said on Sunday.

Earlier this month, the charity said a convoy leaving a warehouse was attacked by Israel killing seven and sparking an international outcry.

The Israel Defense Forces admitted "grave mistakes" led to the fatal strike against the workers and dismissed two senior officers over the incident.

In a statement on Sunday, WCK CEO Erin Gore said: "The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire.

"We are restarting our operation with the same energy, dignity, and focus on feeding as many people as possible."

A British man seriously injured in a shark attack in Tobago is "aware of what is happening" and "able to communicate", his wife has said.

Peter Smith, 64, was on the Caribbean island with wife Jo and friends when he was attacked in Courland Bay on Friday morning.

Two of the friends stayed in the water to "battle the shark", Mrs Smith said.

Her husband is in intensive care in the island's Scarborough General Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.

"Peter has suffered damage to his left arm and leg, puncture wounds to the abdomen and injuries to his right hand, the full extent of which are still being evaluated," said Mrs Smith, of Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.

Hospital medics are now deciding on "the future course of treatment", she added.
