Did you read it? Beause this is what your own representatives had to say about the incident:
"Meanwhile, Pakistan cricket board chairman Zaka Ashraf told reporters in Lahore that Abbasi has been released from hospital after treatment. He added that the Pakistan-India cricket series scheduled for late December will not be affected by this incident.
Ashraf said that initial information about the substance ingested was misreported, and that it was infact washing liquid, and not acid. He added that the hotel management has suspended the erring server.
The Pakistan high commissioner in Delhi has also spoken to the concerned ministry over the incident. The mistake of one man will not affect Pakistan-India relations, nor affect the upcoming bilateral series."
I don't think you should be using this site to try to promote xenophobic hatred.
Neither am I here to promote any hatred as such, I have just stated what happened over there in my article, even if its washing liquid, just how on earth is that served at the breakfast to a blind man.
Do you expect me to write here a thank you note to authorities concerned??
No, you shouldn't.
But considering you didn't even read the article yourself and instead intended to use the incident to launch a xenophobic attack broadsiding all Indians in general, you should at the very least feel ashamed of your own actions and edit the article to write an apology.
Itsonlyagame,
You are correct in pointing out that, infact it wasn’t acid but washing liquid. Does that make it right then? Do you often consume washing liquid with your meals? . The fact that the staff member has been suspended indicates it was done deliberately and on purpose with malicious intend – shocking, disgrace and utterly pathetic, wouldn’t you agree? Regardless if it was done to a blind man, a Pakistani, white, black yellow, its downright cheap and nasty!
Also, I think you need to re-visit your definition of “xenophobic hatred” if you think someone posting a simple article expressing their dismay at such an incident is in the category of “hatred”. Muppet.

In case you hadn't realised, the title of the article is "An Indian gesture".
The body of the article stats that "THEY have stooped...".
The newspaper article linked speaks of the action - whether intentional or accidental - of an individual.
Yet this apparently serves to broadside 1.4 billion people on the basis of nationality.
I'm sorry Afridi, but if you too are unable to see what's inherently wrong with that, then it's not me who needs to review his definitions.
And name-calling won't wake you right either.

An Indian poster saying its ok to serve washing liquid.
He must be pretty happy with his wife who serves him soaps and liquids.

Im assuming that hes used the word “indian” because it was actually an Indian that did this? Did you miss that bit of the article then?
On a related note, Ed Hawkins (a well known and respected English journalist) has recently written a book where he has revealed that during pakistans time in india for the 2011 world cup, the Pakistanis had an agreement with the indian officials whereby the food was to be tasted by 2 indian police officers before the pakistanis ate – for food poisoning. The England team always prepare their own food and have their own chefs and meals. I’m not suggesting (and neither did he in the book) that this is a soley an indian issue – but the facts are that.
If this guy did put washing liquid in or whatever, then everyone (regardless of race/colour/country) should condemn him for such, rather than cry “hatred” because someone has brought it to your attention.

Washing up liquid left on the table. Nothing was done on purpose.

Yes, it's perfectly normal to have a bottle of washing up liquid on the dinner table
I was a member of bbc 606 when the horrifyng attack took place against Srilankan cricket team and there were atleast a dozen of Article over the incident( I am not implying there should have been less) and in my memory not a single Pakistani poster defended Pak govt's or PCB or Pak Security and every poster regardless of hs nationality condemned it.
Obviously, this incident is not of such worrying proportion but defending it by saying what u are saying is an abysmal attempt.
Anyways, PCB dealt the matter well.Pakistani skipper is ok and Imo, would have been negligence on the part of lower staff only so I do not think this should serve as block to Indo-Pak matches.

That’s that sorted then. Apparently its normal and standard practice then .
Also, where does it state in the article it wasn’t done on purpose? Left on the table and drank by a team member hence he ended up in hospital which led to a suspension of a staff member…. www.learntoread.com
