Afridi, re your response to my previous comment, it seems you are intentionally missing the point - the fact that the article is worded in a way that it is an accusation levelled at Indians in general, not at the individual himself.
My criticism of the article would have been exactly the same if the incident had occurred the other way round and the article had been written by an Indian.
I'd like to ask you to try and be as honest as possible with yourself for just a minute, and ask yourself how you think you'd have reacted in that case, to the title "A Pakistani gesture" and a text that said "They (the Pakistanis) have stooped to a level even lower" and come back to me.

That's the thing with comments/articles like these, the point they are making is a valid one but the way it's wrote creates mud slinging matches.
To generalise an entire nations population based on the actions of one person is just wrong.

But saying "they" implies that more than the individual are complicit, and I don't buy the grammatical error argument either as the op is clearly intentional

They - as in the hotel management? only the op knows what he means i guess.
The player is safe anyway and theres no harm done, an apology from the hotel received and they are investigating why it happened. All is good, and case is closed
Afridi, thanks for your reply. I don't really have anything further to add on the issue - you see it one way, I see it another. It seems we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.
From your comments I think that you are relatively new here. You totally refrained from commenting on what was the article all about. But you picked out one thing that I wrote in a general context. But this is the way its written. Its pretty much common sense that whole India wasnt behind that bottle being placed on his breakfast table. But this is why its said that when some people make such stupid acts, it brings bad name to their nation.
I would be very interested in reading your comment when next time any of the Indian fan labels Pakistanis as cheaters just because three of them committed spot fixing.
P.S.
While I really welcome and appreciate your comment that hatred shouldn't be spread but had you got the point of this article you would have got rather appologetic on behalf of that fellow country man of yours, but well I think the attitude of BCCI has started to inflict on the behavior of fans also.

I question the IQ of this poster. Pakistan has been complicit in terrorism of cricketers...I guess by your logic, we should cast all of Pakistan terrorists. And Britain is a country only of paedophiles. Idiot
3 international players was it winning? Thought so
Viren,
what you on about mate? the op has clarified his stance by stating "Its pretty much common sense that whole India wasnt behind that bottle being placed on his breakfast table" in his last comment!!!
"If you guys are thinking that this article is to ridicule India on their current series against England than No! its not.Its that they have stooped to a level even lower."
Key stage 2 English test: To whom does the word 'they' refer to?
