no Gangster No 1 in Gangster!?

this article originally started off as a wum by the way, where i would put films in controversial categories.

i ended up taking it seriously though

I also think that most genres can be put into a scale, based on how 'scary' they are, as follows :

1. horror
2. thriller
3. action
4. lifestyle
5. comedy drama
6. romance
7. comedy

with the odd ones out beinf war, gangster, western and sci-fi.

I suppose an alternate scale might be emotional involvement, which I would say would probably tend to go something like :

1. thriller/suspense
2. lifestyle
3. romance
4. horror
5. action
6. comedy drama
7. comedy

Blueblood - The reomance category was originally called "loveydovey/feelgood".

Whilst I changed the name of the category, I considered that films such as 'green mile' and 'field of dreams' were at home in that category, as the intention was that there film was about a relationship between THE VIEWER and the character/setting of the film. In that way, I believe it is viable to class those films as romances

Yeah The Fifth Element is quite good and Mila Jovovich is indeed hot

Best genres in terms of the most good films are action and sci fi for me.

is it wrong that the fact that she can't speak makes her even hotter, or is that ok ?

I think she's hot whether she talks or not, though she's probably hotter in the Resident Evil films. Prefer her hair there.

I would class Jaws as more horror too.

"I would class Jaws as more horror too."

That is fair comment.

How the hell it got away with an A rating in 1976 (I saw it when I was *NINE* ) is beyond me.

I think films like Jaws just have to go into a genre-free 'masterpieces' category.

Very true.

I guess for gore it's not that much worse than Raiders of the Lost Ark really, but it does have that horror/thriller aspect throughout which maybe makes it more suitable for adults.
